Jamie Oliver returned to the kitchen earlier this month with his new show focusing on autumnal fruit and vegetables.
But it was the chef’s tutorial on the pear tarte tatin he made on last week’s episode of Jamie: What To Eat This Week that caused a stir, with one rather rude comment.
The TV chef was preparing the delicious-looking dessert before tasting it, when he said: ‘Look at that, absolutely beautiful. A very, very classy dessert.
“I always grab it from the back because it has that lovely, crispy edge. So I go in, and that’s just the best.”
Viewers choked on the commentary, calling it ‘the worst sentence ever’.

“I choked on the water, lol.” @Jamieoliver loved taking that cake from behind.
In the new series, Jamie heads into the kitchen to serve up autumnal dishes such as roast chicken with eggplant, baked feta with fig and prosciutto salad and green bean stew.
And the delicious dishes ensured that it was not only his spicy comment that provoked reactions, as others praised his dishes.

‘#jamiewhattoeat that monkfish looks amazing! @jamieoliver.’
This happened after Jamie and his brood had dinner with Joe Wicks’ family in August.
The comment left viewers ‘choking on their water’ as they thought it was ‘the worst sentence they’d ever heard’
