Jamie Oliver leaves the Sunrise hosts in shock when he reveals a bizarre way of preparing ‘juicy chicken’

Jamie Oliver left Sunrise presenters Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington in shock on Thursday when he revealed his unique hack for cooking chicken.

The beloved celebrity chef, 48, appeared on the breakfast show to unveil his take on chicken and chips, while promoting his new cookbook 5 Ingredients Mediterranean.

Jamie started his demonstration by marinating chicken and potatoes in a mixture of lemon, herbs and honey before sandwiching the chicken legs between an oven rack.

Jamie then placed the rack in a hot oven so that the chicken pieces hung over the vegetables. Make sure the excess marinade drips into the dish for extra flavor.

“This gives you the best, juiciest chicken and crispy skin, and it all drips into the potatoes, giving you that beautiful potato,” Jamie said.

Jamie said the hack was inspired during his travels around the Mediterranean after seeing roasting skewers being used along the road.

Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington immediately applauded Jamie for his innovative approach to error cooking.

“Amazing,” Shirvo said. “How good was that?”

“Wow,” Nat added. “I’ve never seen that!”

Matt and Mark Beretta gave the chef a standing ovation before the segment ended.
