Speak with The sun on SundayJamie confessed that Sophie always jokes that he is ‘the standard’ in the bedroom, and now that they are married he ‘doesn’t feel like performing anymore’.

He said: ‘I used to start with joined writing and then I thought, ‘I can’t worry about that because it’s faster for me not to do it together.’ So I’m kind of in the bedroom.

“I don’t give up halfway through, but I do remember once I rolled over on top of Sophie and she said, ‘Oh, keep going.'”

Jamie added that he suggested Sophie see a marriage counselor to help them communicate effectively.

He added that they now have bi-monthly sessions, and it has made them “more empathetic” when discussing any issues in their relationship.

Jamie said: ‘It opens you up and makes you more empathetic. It ensures that you basically don’t become a sociopath and that you can have a different opinion.

‘It has calmed me down, especially with Sophie, because I am generally more volatile than she is.’

Jamie, who co-hosts the Newlyweds podcast with Sophie, also shared that through marriage counseling he has learned how to resolve issues with his wife and admit when he is wrong.

Sophie and Jamie first met when they starred together in Made In Chelsea, and rekindled their romance in 2019 after being friends for several years.

It comes after Sophie revealed to MailOnline that she and Jamie are planning to buy their first property together as they look to the future as husband and wife.

She said: ‘We are desperate to move into our family home.

“We’re on the hunt…we’re looking high and looking low. We can’t find anything at the moment, but we are actively looking, which is very exciting.

‘Jamie and I are looking everywhere, we don’t have a fixed location… it’s a tough market out there.

‘I want a bit of greenery, I want it to be a bit more residential, we are now in a bit of a busy party district and I want to move to a place where there is greenery around me and where it is quiet and where people walk their dogs around me.

‘You have to think about the future. It makes me very excited, but nothing has been found yet.’

Jamie added that he suggested Sophie see a marriage counselor to help them communicate effectively, and they now have bi-monthly sessions.

Sophie and Jamie married in April 2023 in an intimate legal ceremony at the Chelsea Registry Office with a small group of friends and family.

The couple then flew to Spain, where their main wedding took place in May 2023 in Sotogrande, Andalusia’s largest private residential area.

Sophie stunned in a lace Emma Beaumont dress as they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in front of a star-studded crowd.

Sophie and Jamie’s relationship was well documented during their time on Made In Chelsea.

The pair’s close friendship slowly turned to romance in mid-2019, but they were both initially hesitant to start dating, in case it ruined what they had.

The pair were previously best friends before their friendship turned to romance on Made In Chelsea and they started dating five years ago.

Candy Kittens founder Jamie popped the question during a romantic proposal at London’s Rosewood Hotel in December 2021.

Last month Jamie started his new job as co-host of Radio 1’s Going Home show, alongside Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton.
