Jamie Foxx’s condition is ‘steadily improving’ after he suffered a ‘medical complication’

Jamie Foxx’s condition is steadily improving after the actor suffered a ‘medical complication’ in Atlanta

Jamie Foxx is reportedly doing better after enduring a ‘medical complication’ earlier this week.

A source told People that the 55-year-old Oscar winner is “steadily improving” after his hospitalization in Atlanta.

Fans were initially alerted to the health scare when the actor’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared a serious statement on social media last Wednesday.

The 29-year-old actress wrote: “We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday.

“Fortunately, with quick action and good care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she continued.

“We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time,” the statement concluded.

At the time, sources confirmed to TMZ that Foxx’s unnamed condition was serious enough to require him to be hospitalized.

Limited details have been shared and it’s unclear what symptoms the comedian suffered.

Foxx has been to Atlanta, Georgia where he is filming the action comedy Back In Action.

Despite his improving condition, there is no word yet on when he will be able to leave the hospital or resume filming.

The film has been marketed as the return to acting for his costar Cameron Diaz, whom he helped coax out of retirement, though she reportedly plans to retire for good after a series of disasters on the film set.

Glenn Close also appears in the film.

The hospitalization was so severe that the actor’s family came from out of town to be with him.

A source added, “He’s communicating now, which is good news,” which may mean he was unable to communicate at one point due to the medical emergency.

Foxx shares his daughter Corinne with his ex-girlfriend Connie Kline. He also has a 13-year-old daughter Annalize, whom he shares with Kristin Grannis.

His last film shoot in Atlanta seems to have been a surprisingly stressful ordeal for the Baby Driver actor, as well as his peers.

Interruption: Foxx is in Atlanta, Georgia filming the action comedy Back In Action

Last month it was reported that Foxx “had an absolute meltdown” while the film was being shot in the UK, leading to the firing of several people.

He reportedly landed an executive producer on the project, along with two directors and even his own driver.

According to The Sun, an employee was fired in connection with an apparent scam to gain access to £33,000 in cash from the actor, allegedly in connection with the sale of a Rolex watch.

There was even more drama when it was revealed that production was halted last month after an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered on the London film set just before two major action sequences were due to be filmed.
