Jamie Foxx to reveal TRUTH about health crisis on Netflix special after wild Diddy ‘poisoning’ rumors

Jamie Foxx says he will speak candidly about recent life events while promoting his upcoming special What Had Happened Was… on Netflix.

“I can’t say it enough that I am blessed to be able to tell my story in my own way. Thanking so many people that so many people prayed…” Foxx, 56, said on Instagram on Sunday.

The Terrell, Texas native thanked fans in Atlanta, where he made his return to the stand-up stage.

‘A big shout out to Atlanta, you showed up and made me feel at home, made me feel safe after 18 years of not being on stage, you made it feel like yesterday… I can’t wait until everyone experiences the atmosphere we had,” the Oscar-winning actor said.

Foxx said of filming the special, “It was like going to church… we laughed… we had a few tears… but last but not least we celebrated life… and second chances. ..can’t wait.’

Foxx speaks in the special about rumors linking the health crisis he suffered last year to embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to three people who attended the Oct. 3-5 shows at the Alliance Theater’s Coca-Cola Stage .

Choke No Joke, a producer-director, told Comedy Hype’s YouTube account October 7 that he was at the first and third shows.

Choke No Joke said Foxx identified himself as “the one who called the FBI” Combs, 54, who has been in custody since his September arrest in New York City on federal sex trafficking charges.

Foxx said in a serious tone during one of the shows that “Diddy was responsible for what happened to him,” Choke No Joke said.

Foxx laid low for fear of retaliation from Combs, Choke No Joke said, citing how the actor quickly returned to the spotlight after Combs was arrested on September 16 and attended a Dallas Cowboys practice the following week.

Choke No Joke added, “And now he just went and filmed his special. And who is the special strongly based on? Diddy.’

Choke No Joke then told the story Page six that he was ‘shocked’. Foxx spoke on the topic as he previously heard rumors within the entertainment industry linking Foxx’s health issues to Combs’ legal troubles.

Big Homie.CC, a celebrity bodyguard, said in an October 19 conversation with Cam Capone News that he believes Foxx was “poisoned” by Combs last year, leading to a long recovery period, and convinced Foxx to provide information about Combs to authorities.

Big Homie.CC said, “That’s why Jamie Foxx turned him in to the FBI… That’s why Jamie Foxx turned this guy in to the FBI.”

Big Homie.CC told Page Six that he attended two of Foxx’s shows in Atlanta while accompanying a client.

Another attendee, Dennis LA White, told the outlet that he had been on the last two shows, and believes Foxx distanced Combs from his health issues in his monologues.

White said Foxx said something along the lines of, “People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If I had, I would have been dead.”

Foxx promoted the shows on his social media on September 2, saying he would “take the stage to share his journey through a serious health crisis, full of humor, heart and inspiration!”

The ad read: ‘Experience Jamie Foxx like never before in this intimate and captivating performance, as he talks about his struggles, triumphs and everything in between. Get ready for an evening of laughter, reflection and genuine connection.”

In a teaser for the show, directed by Hamish Hamilton, Foxx said: ‘I said, “If I can stay funny, then I can stay alive” – I’m back.’

The comedy event is one of a number of upcoming projects the A-list actor has lined up, as he stars in the comedy film Back in Action for the streaming service in a reunion with Any Given Sunday and Annie co-star Cameron Diaz. The film is expected to start streaming on January 17, 2025.

What Had Happened Was… is scheduled to debut on Netflix on December 10.
