Jamie Foxx says he is ‘finally starting to feel like’ himself again after terrifying health scare that left him hospitalized for MONTHS: ‘I can see the light’
Jamie Foxx revealed that he’s “finally starting to feel like himself again” after a medical emergency that left him hospitalized for months.
While reflecting on his health anxiety, the 55-year-old Academy Award winner told his more than 16.8 million Instagram followers that his mysterious illness was “an unexpected dark journey.”
Despite the difficulties in his recovery, the father-of-two said he can “see the light” and is “grateful to everyone who has reached out and sent well wishes and prayers.”
“I have a lot of people to thank…you just don’t know how much it meant…I will personally thank you all…and if you didn’t know…GOD IS GOOD…all day, every day ‘ he concluded. .
In the images, the Strays star looked happy and healthy as he stared straight into the camera while rocking a crochet bucket hat, white V-neck shirt and aviator sunglasses.

Under the post, fans and many of his famous friends, including Jeremy Renner, left heartfelt comments.
Renner, 52, who nearly died after being crushed by a snowplow in January, wrote, “Brother, I know that feeling!!! It only gets better from here! Thank God❤️❤️❤️❤️’
‘Yes, that’s him!!! Glad you’re better,” Octavia Spencer remarked, while Garcelle Beauvais said, “God is great and so are you! ❤️’
The update comes less than a month after Foxx first provided a detailed update on his recovery.
Foxx let fans know he’s not “blind” or “paralyzed” in a three-minute emotional recording about his health.
“I experienced something I never thought I would experience. I know a lot of people were (were) waiting or wanted to hear an update, but to be honest, I didn’t want you to think of me as that guy,” he admitted with tears in his eyes.
The actor, who returned to work last month to film a commercial in Las Vegas, continued, “I want you to see me laughing, having fun, partying, joking, making a movie, (or) a television show . ‘
“I didn’t want you to see me with the tubes running out of me trying to figure out if I could make it.”
The father of one child added that he went through “hell and back” to survive and has experienced some “potholes” on his “road to recovery.”

The Beat Shazam host also praised his sister, Deondra Dixon, and daughter, Corinne, 29, for “saving” his life and keeping the details surrounding his hospitalization private.
“To them, to God, to many wonderful medical people, I can leave you this video,” Foxx added. “I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have your family perform in such a way, and you all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let anything go, they protected me, and that’s what I hope everyone could have at times like these.’
He then showed how his “eyes work fine” by moving them back and forth, before clarifying that he is “not paralyzed.”
Speaking directly to fans, he said, “I just want to say I love everyone and I love all the love I’ve been given.”
The actor choked as he warned, “If you see me outside from now on and break into tears every once in a while, it’s just because it’s been tough, man. I was sick, man. But now I’ve got my legs under me, so you’re going to look like me.”
“Man, I know they talk about people crying on videos… but I’m not gonna do a take two, it is what it is,” he mused. “Like I said, I want you to remember me for the jokes I make and the movies I make — some are good, some aren’t (I think I put out a good one), and songs I sing.”
“I am here on earth thanks to some wonderful people. I’m here on earth because of God, man,’ the artist concluded. “I’m on my way back.”
Foxx captioned the video: “Thank you a billion to everyone… it’s been a long road but all the prayers, wonderful people and God, got me through it.”
Within an hour, he received over 306,306 likes and thousands of messages from his followers and celebrity friends, including LL Cool J, who said, “So glad to see you again, my brother.”
