Jamie Foxx co-star John Boyega says no one has heard from actor amid medical emergency

Jamie Foxx’ co-star John Boyega has said that “no one has heard from the actor” since he was hospitalized for a mysterious medical emergency in early April this year.

Foxx, 55, and Boyega, 31, both star in the new Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone – but the Star Wars actor expressed concern about Foxx during the film’s premiere this week.

“No one has heard from Jamie,” Boyega told Entertainment Tonight at the Florida premiere on Wednesday.

“I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I wish him all the best.’

He said there were some “missed calls” from Boyega to Foxx, adding, “I called, I just keep calling.”

Foxx suffered a “medical complication” on April 11, according to his daughter, Corinne Foxx — and fans have been concerned for his well-being ever since.

“Fortunately, thanks to prompt action and proper care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she said at the time. “We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time.”

Born Eric Bishop, Foxx was filming the action comedy Back In Action with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia, in April when he was admitted to the hospital.

The actor has been treated at a Chicago facility, which specializes in treating adults with “serious complex conditions,” including stroke recovery – though what ailment Foxx suffers from has not been revealed.

In his new Netflix movie, Foxx plays Slick Charles, who is part of an unlikely trio featuring Boyega (Fontaine) and Teyonah Parris (Yo-Yo) who uncover a government conspiracy in an underground lab.

Claims on social media that Foxx was seriously ill after being injured by a vaccine have gone viral – with notable figures including Conservative presenter Candace Owens suggesting that Foxx was indeed damaged by the vaccine.

The furore started when podcaster AJBenza made a shockingly baseless claim on Dr. Drew Pinsky that Foxx was left “partially paralyzed and blind” after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.

Benza claimed that Foxx was ‘forced’ to get a vaccine to work on a film and further claimed that the actor developed a blood clot which then led to a stroke – Foxx’s reps told NBC news that Benza’s claim is “completely inaccurate.”

Pinsky later told the publication in a statement, “AJ’s statements were based on his own confidential sources, so I can’t speculate beyond what he said on the show.” I sincerely hope that AJ’s sources are wrong and that Mr. Foxx will make a full recovery.

“There is no evidence and I have no reason to believe that his medical condition is directly related to vaccine therapy or any post-COVID phenomenon. Any evidence of either would have to come from his doctors.”

He added that he supports and recommends “all safe vaccines,” but added that “an alarming number of people have had their lives apparently significantly impacted by side effects, health problems and the death of loved ones — and some signs suggest an association with mRNA- vaccines.’

Owens then insinuated on her podcast that Benza’s claim must be true because Foxx’s family didn’t “flatly deny it” — with Owens’ video being viewed more than 180,000 times.

She said, “Their silence seems as if this claim is true. We’re all holding our breath to see if Jamie Foxx speaks out.’

Charlie Kirk, the founder of the conservative organization Talking Points USA, tweeted, “Those of us who spoke out against the mRNA injection were attacked in every way imaginable. I’m furious that a decent person like Jamie Foxx fell victim to Big Pharma because a movie set is still dumb enough to mandate their cash cow clot jab.”

Kirk’s spokesperson told the publication he shared the article “so readers could check it out for themselves.”
