Foxx reposted a post from Corinne about Nick taking over the presenting mantle, writing on his stories, “Appreciate you my boy @nickcannon, goodbye.”

Corinne will be replaced by Kelly Osbourne who recently shared a video of the DJ booth on the set of the reality competition show.

Sources close to Jamie recently told TMZ that he needs “all the prayers and well wishes his fans can muster.”

Last Friday, People spoke to a source who confirmed that Foxx (born Eric Bishop) was “awake and alert” in a “Georgia medical facility.”

“He’s fine, thank God,” the source said. “He’s still in the hospital and the doctors are running tests, but he’s awake and alert. They’re watching him.’

Foxx fell ill on April 11 in Atlanta where he is filming his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

While his family has shared news of his health problems, they have not provided any details.

On a positive note, the star also gave a shout-out to friend Nick Cannon who has done hosting duties for him on the hit game show Beat Shazam

However, a source previously told People that Foxx was steadily improving.

Fans were initially warned about the health scare when Corinne shared a serious statement on social media earlier this month.

The actress wrote, “We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday.

“Fortunately, with quick action and good care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she continued.

“We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time,” the statement concluded.

At the time, sources confirmed to TMZ that Foxx’s condition was serious enough to require him to be hospitalized.

Limited details have been shared and it’s unclear what symptoms the comedian suffered.

CNN previously reported that tests were being conducted to determine what led to his health anxiety and that the actor was being observed at the hospital.

“They are running tests and are still trying to figure out exactly what happened,” an insider said.

Despite his improving condition, there is no word yet on when he will be able to leave the hospital or resume filming.

The film has been marketed as the return to acting for his co-star Diaz, whom he helped coax out of retirement, though she reportedly intends to retire for good after a series of disasters on the film set.

Glenn Close also appears in the film.

The hospitalization was so severe that the actor’s family came from out of town to be with him.

A source told TMZ, “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news,” which may mean he was unable to communicate at one point due to the medical emergency.

Foxx shares his daughter Corinne with his ex-girlfriend Connie Kline. He also has a 13-year-old daughter Annalize, whom he shares with Kristin Grannis.

His last film shoot in Atlanta seems to have been a surprisingly stressful ordeal for the Baby Driver actor, as well as his peers.

Last month it was reported that Foxx “had an absolute meltdown” while the film was being shot in the UK, leading to the firing of several people.

He reportedly landed an executive producer on the project, along with two directors and even his own driver.

According to The Sun, an employee was fired in connection with an apparent scam to gain access to £33,000 in cash from the actor, allegedly in connection with the sale of a Rolex watch.

There was even more drama when it was revealed that production was halted last month after an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered on the London film set just before two major action sequences were due to be filmed.
