‘This club is a mess’: Jamie Carragher SLAMS ’embarrassing’ Chelsea after Arsenal scored three goals in the first half against the Blues…while criticizing Todd Boehly’s approach to leading the club through its downfall
Jamie Carragher has made his way into Chelsea after their first-half capitulation against Arsenal.
The Blues conceded three goals in the first 40 minutes as they struggled under Frank Lampard.
Martin Odegaard scored twice before Gabriel Jesus added a third to send Lampard’s side to their sixth consecutive defeat under the former midfielder.
Speaking of in-game commentary on Sky Sports, Carragher labeled Chelsea as ’embarrassing’ as he reflected on how far they have fallen as a side.
They are 12th in the Premier League, nine points clear of relegation with four games to recall.

Carragher labeled the club ‘a shambles’ and said Chelsea were ’embarrassing’ in the game
“Absolutely fantastic from Arsenal and absolutely shocking from Chelsea,” Carragher said after Jesus’ attack. “This club is an absolute mess.
Unfortunately this could get much worse for Lampard and his staff and supporters. Ben White puts the ball in, so easy to knock it down at that back post.
“It’s embarrassing of Chelsea. It’s like five aside. Three of them were on their backs. It sums up Chelsea’s season.
“It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come down in the last 12 months.”
Karen Carney had mentioned Chelsea’s solid defensive record before the game, suggesting there is a foundation the club can build on next season despite their struggles, before Carragher denounced Todd Boehly’s approach to building the Chelsea team.

Carragher also berated new Blues owner Todd Boehly for his way of running the club
“I can’t believe we talked about them being good defensively in the beginning,” said Carney. “It’s been anything but that.”
“It’s nonsense to spend all the money you have,” Carragher added. “You have to make a connection. Todd Boehly, the plans and ideas he had don’t work there.”
They still have quality players on the field. Losing six games on bounce is not acceptable. To think of the success this club has had. Since Arsenal last won the title, Chelsea have won 19 trophies.
