Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has jumped to the defense of Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as the fallout from Cristiano Ronaldo’s bombshell interview continues.

Ronaldo has shockingly revealed that he does not “respect” current United boss Ten Hag when the club’s number seven turned his back on his teammates and the club’s coaching staff.

The Portuguese superstar is unhappy with the way he has been treated by the Dutchman with his omission from Sunday’s match selection, who traveled to Fulham and appeared to be the last straw.

On Twitter, Carragher criticized Ronaldo for being completely wrong in his recent interview, insisting that ‘99%’ of Man United supporters will support Ten Hag over the winger.
