Jamie Carragher has chided Manchester United’s Casemiro for producing his worst performance of the season against Liverpool during Sunday’s 7-0 Premier League defeat.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher watched from the portico as Liverpool tore apart their fierce rivals, with Casemiro and his colleagues being swarmed into a cauldron of noise at Anfield.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher said: ‘Casemiro has been one of the best players in the league this season, but he was very, very bad on Sunday.
You could see he wasn’t at the races. A player of his category shouldn’t give the ball away like he did.
He was supposed to take care of Harvey Elliott, but he made it too easy for him. The second goal is the killer for United. Casemiro couldn’t get close to anyone, he has fallen twice.
