Jamie Carragher has made his predictions ahead of Euro 2024 and revealed when he thinks England will crash out of the tournament.
Despite losing 1-0 to Iceland in their final warm-up game, there is a lot of excitement about England and the range of options Gareth Southgate has at his disposal.
However, Carragher predicted the Three Lions would fall just short.
Carragher also expressed his belief that the team that beats England will win the tournament.
Euro 2024 starts this Friday, with 24 countries competing for the trophy.

Carragher believes England will be knocked out by France in the Euro 2024 semi-finals.
According to Carragher, France’s greater experience and squad depth could see them gain the upper hand.
Speak with The TelegraphCarragher said: ‘I think the best team in England against the best team in France is a coin toss. Some players who can’t make the French team go on to win Champions Leagues and play for some of the biggest clubs in the world. That’s my only feeling.
‘Can you imagine England losing Kane or Bellingham for that match? France still has player after player after playing to get in.”
Carragher referred to William Saliba, with the defender often excelling for Arsenal despite not being guaranteed a place in the French side.
He said: ‘You look at someone like Saliba. He rarely gets a chance. I think he would be our best central defender. He would be an absolute shoo-in in the England team.
‘My only worry for England is that I have to face France, Mbappe and Griezmann, two of the best in the world. I’m not sure we have the defenders to stop them.”
Carragher believes hosts Germany will beat Portugal in the other semi-final.

However, he thinks that France will be too strong for Germany in the final.
Carragher said: “I keep going back to the France squad and who they can bring off the bench. I think Germany is in the final because they are at home.
‘The experience they have with players who have won the World Cup. I just think France will have enough to beat Germany in its own backyard.”
Carragher believes England will beat Austria in the round of 16 before prevailing over Hungary in the quarter-finals, with Southgate’s side tipped to finish top of their group ahead of second-placed Denmark.

There is bad news for Scotland, with Carragher expecting Steve Clarke’s team to suffer an early exit by finishing bottom of Group A.
In the round of 16, Carragher predicts that Germany will beat Denmark, Hungary will triumph against Croatia and Spain will beat Ukraine.
He also feels that Portugal will beat Switzerland, the Netherlands will beat Romania, Belgium will beat Serbia and France will beat Turkey.
In the quarter-finals, Germany is expected to beat Spain, while Carragher claims Portugal will beat the Netherlands and France will succeed against Belgium.
