Jamie Carragher hit out at one of Liverpool’s star players after a stunning moment during their 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

But they could have scored more in the second half and Carragher was less than impressed with one player who missed a golden chance to make it 4-0.

Instead, he feinted to shoot several times before being pushed away without even attempting to score, infuriating Carragher.

The midfielder feinted to shoot when he was just six yards from goal but was eventually overpowered, with Carragher accusing him of being ‘unprofessional’.

Although Liverpool were in complete control of the game, Carragher referred to the manner in which Everton had squandered a two-goal lead to lose to Bournemouth 24 hours earlier, and stressed that Szoboszlai’s decision not to shoot could cost him dearly.

“If United get one back, the crowd will riot. We saw what happened to Everton yesterday,” he continued.

Fortunately for Szoboszlai, his miss had no consequences for Liverpool, who played out the remaining minutes of the match and continued their perfect start to the season.
