Jamie Carragher has enjoyed his time with Borussia Dortmund fans ahead of tonight’s Champions League final.

The Liverpool legend enjoyed a boozy night out as he sat in the ‘Yellow Wall’ for their Champions League semi-final win at Signal Iduna Park last month.

Carragher, who was sent to the stands by CBS Sports, later revealed he suffered a hangover after drinking eight pints with Dortmund fans.

Before tonight’s showpiece, where the German team plays against fourteen-time winners Real Madrid, Carragher was reunited with the Dortmund fans in London on Friday.

In a video from CBS Sports, Carragher is seen smiling and singing with the Dortmund fans with a beer in his hand.

It is understood Carragher had learned a song from his time with the Dortmund fans during his trip to Germany last month, and he enjoyed it as he immersed himself in the raucous atmosphere as their supporters prepared for tonight’s final.

He is then heard shouting: ‘Where have you gone now, Madrid?’

A comment from a fan in the background then makes Carragher burst into laughter before he returns to drinking his beer, draped in a Dortmund scarf.

The club’s social media page responded by saying: ‘Jamie Carragher is Black and Yellow.’

During his time in Germany, Carragher drank ‘eight pints’ all evening and during the eventful post-match interviews he treated Jadon Sancho like a good friend, while PSG manager Luis Enrique refused to do an interview with him.

As Carragher lined up next to Peter Schmeichel to conduct the post-match interviews, a concerned Abdo asked him: “Are you sober enough to do this, Jamie?”

He replied, “You know, that’s actually a good point. I didn’t eat too much. I had a cheeseburger around 2:30.

‘That might explain why I’m slurring my words, because I drank about eight pints in the Yellow Wall.

‘I have a new family, a family and friends. We all took care of each other.”

Carragher, 46, might have had a hint of regret when he woke up the next morning after telling Kate Abdo and Thierry Henry he had a ‘hangover’, but beamed as he looked back on his experience with fondness.

Carragher said on the CBS show: [I was] Hangover. But I loved it, it was on the bucket list. I said that as a football fan I would go to Borussia Dortmund.

‘I have never been to the Kop and sung You’ll never walk alone, but I have now done it in the Yellow Wall.

‘Singing You’ll Never Walk Alone and being with my new family and friends was something I will never forget. It was brilliant, I absolutely loved it.

“The next time I go right there, I’ll know where it is and those people are there week after week. Kaiser and Kaiser,” he added.
