James Packer ‘never left’ his $72M apartment during his nine-day Aussie stay

Billionaire James Packer ‘never left his $72 million apartment’ during his nine-day stay in Sydney, despite saying he would ‘go swimming’ with his kids

James Packer recently returned home to Australia after three years but refused to leave his two-storey apartment in the Crown Sydney tower in Barangaroo, a new report claims.

The billionaire businessman, 55, hid in his beautiful glass wall for nine days, despite previously saying he would go ‘swimming’ in Bondi with his children.

“He hasn’t set foot outside from the moment he arrived to the moment he left,” an alleged source said The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

The casino tycoon was spotted leaving the country on Tuesday aboard a private jet bound for Argentina after his short vacation.

He left with ex-wife Erica Packer and their three children Indigo, 14, Jackson, 13, and Emmanuelle, 10, seemingly without fulfilling his wish to swim with them at Bondi Beach.

Mr Packer intended to return to public life in Australia after a difficult few years in which health problems plagued him.

By August last year, he had lost 33 kg (72 lbs or 5.2 kg) and had also given up the psychiatric medication that had altered his mood for so long.

The twice-married father-of-three said in June he was ready to embark on the “third act” of his life, including a planned return to his home city of Sydney.

“I weigh about 130kg now and want to be back at 100kg by the end of 2022,” he told The Weekend Australian from his home in Mexico.

“I want to swim in Bondi with my kids when we’re all together in Sydney next year and weigh 100kg.”

Mr. Packer revealed that he had stopped taking the antidepressants and antipsychotics he was taking and wanted to “rehabilitate” his reputation Down Under.

James and Erica split in 2013 but are on good terms as they co-parent their three children.
