James Kennedy’s girlfriend spoke lovingly of Vanderpump Rules star just one day AFTER his arrest
Ally Lewber opened up about how “proud” she was of boyfriend James Kennedy in an interview conducted the day after his domestic violence arrest.
Lewber spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com on New Year’s Eve with Windsor in Los Angeles, a day after Kennedy was arrested on domestic violence charges after getting into an argument with an unknown woman.
The arrest came after Kennedy and Lewber attended Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party earlier that day.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com on Wednesday, Lewber described how happy she was to see how far Kennedy had come in his career and their plans to host her family at their home for Christmas.
Lewber also revealed their professional endeavors after Vanderpump Rules, with the show now moving on with a new cast for the upcoming twelfth season.
“My family comes here. So James and I are going to host this year….I feel grown up. Like my family is coming to me,” said Lewber, co-host of the Windsor bash.

“I bought them stockings with their initials on them, so when they go to the guest room I’m going to make it all cute,” she said.
The holidays come shortly after Bravo announced they would be moving forward with a brand new cast for Vanderpump Rules, replacing the old stars with new faces.
Lewber said they felt the shake-up would happen before the shock announcement.
“We knew it would look different,” she said. “I don’t think we knew for sure, like… oh, we got the boot. But we kind of knew it was coming. I think it was just the reaction from the fans that made it seem so real.
Lewber said James handled the departure in a “mature” manner.
‘Like James, the way he dealt with it was so mature, because we talked about it a lot, and I think we both decided it didn’t suit our lifestyle. We already knew that a little bit.
“And so even in the last few months, before we knew it, it just feels like we’re reaching for drama,” she said.
‘I’m actually excited about the future, and I have no fear. I’m like, okay cool – you want to DJ, I want to do astrology. We are obviously grateful that we have all seen James from where he was in the beginning to where he is now.”
Ally said she was “proud” of her boyfriend, who is now DJing after starting his reality TV career as a busser at SUR.
“We all knew James in the beginning, you know where he was, that was a busser, and he worked his way up to get where he is now and I know he’s proud of himself. I’m proud of him.’
And the astrologer believes that the axing is overall a “good thing” for the cast, and that adding the stars after the shake-up will all be “good.”

“I think overall it’s really good… they’re a family, you know? And I feel like I’m a little disconnected from it. They are a family and have been through so much together. I feel like it is, it’s just a change. It’s a big change. Everyone will be fine. They’ll all be fine. It’s time.
‘The universe made the decision, it is what it is. Drama free? It’s a good thing,” she said.
Lewber hinted that Scheana Shay was particularly emotionally affected by the axing.
“I talk to Scheana the most. I haven’t seen her in person so it’s hard to really gauge the true emotions. I think everyone is a little bit… I think we all feel the same way. I think Scheana is probably the most… she’s sensitive,” she said. “Her and James are, I would say, the most emotional, sensitive ones. And she will be fine, she knows that.
“But it’s still kind of, wow, we have to say goodbye to this whole era,” she said, adding that she was touched to see the fans’ reaction to their departure.
“The fans, everyone making all those tweets and stuff, I looked at them, it made me cry,” she said. “That’s so sweet.”
As for a potential future for the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley, Ally said it wasn’t in the cards for them
Ally sensed that this would not be the last viewers would see Kennedy.
“I think James will find his way back onto the screen. I told him, “You’re meant for TV. You’re meant for the stage. DJing, reality, wherever it is. It’s where he’s meant to be, I think. And certainly DJ, I think he’s there really wants to really concentrate on That.’
“He’s got another year of LIV Nightclub in Fountainbleu,” she said. ‘And then he tours with Pauly D… They’re kind of like a collab. I think it’s only for two months, the first half of next year.’ she said. “And then he likes to make music.”
“He was in the studio yesterday, was in the studio today and worked with different DJs, so he will like release music,” she added.
As for a potential future for the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley, Ally said it wasn’t in the cards for them.
“I don’t think it’s for us,” she said. “I never say never, we never know what will happen in the future.”
Despite the uncertain TV future, Ally will remain professionally busy with her astrology business and a ‘big’ project she plans to announce shortly after the new year.
