James Corden seen filming segment for his final Late Late Show with Jane Krakowski and Josh Gad

James Corden was spotted filming an exaggerated segment for his final episode of The Late Late Show outside the Los Angeles CBS studios on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old comedian — who has been labeled one of Hollywood’s “toughest and most annoying” celebrities in recent months — enlisted the help of Jane Krakowski and Josh Gad for his big farewell.

The extravagant production is one of many highlights James has in store for his audience as he prepares to retire from The Late Late Show, which airs April 27.

Last April, Dailymail.com exclusively revealed that James had decided to walk away from his eight-season run as host of The Late Late Show to spend more time with his family in their native UK.

And now James has confessed to feeling “huge amounts” of fear and anxiety as he prepares to finish his run at the end of April, leaving him on “unstable ground.”

But the actor also revealed that he feels an “urgency” to leave his coveted hosting gig and focus on theater work.

Speaking at a PaleyFest event in Los Angeles earlier this month, James admitted, “I haven’t felt this scared since I decided to take the show, to move here. I haven’t felt this unstable… (But) I have to embrace that fear…”

Corden went on to discuss his shocking exodus from Hollywood in favor of the London stage: “I’m just aware that what I’m trying to do isn’t the path that’s often taken.

“To go from National Theatre, writing a TV show on the BBC, Broadway, hosting a late night talk show, filming stuff in the middle of that, stopping the late night talk show and then going, ‘Oh, I should now I’d like to do another play.”

“It’s just not the road that’s been traveled as far as I know, so that brings with it a huge amount of anxiety. It’s terrifying, it’s absolutely terrifying.”

Speaking of his upcoming plans, James said: “There are a lot of things I’d like to do, but they’re very dependent on people wanting me to do them…I think it’s going to be really important to catch my breath come and take a while.’

Corden was still a bundle of energy at the end of the day. He shared a sweet hug with the Broadway star after Josh handed him a loving note that read, “James, I love you, Josh Gad.”

Corden drank up his remaining time on the CBS lot with his face plastered on a billboard in the background. The last episode of The Late Late Show is scheduled for April 27

Returning to his theater roots, the English prankster confessed, “I couldn’t feel more urgency to do that. [theatre].

“I’ll be very angry with myself if I don’t do another play in a year or a year and a half or do another play that I’ve already done. I would give anything to go back and do another show, I would give absolutely anything.”

James concluded by insisting that he feels he is making the right decision to walk away from the show.

He stated, “I am so confident that this is the right thing to do. I’m so absolutely sure we’ve done everything we set out to do and I think it’s very important that it comes to an end.’
