James Corden roasts his mom about her BOTOX as his parents join the audience to support the final show
James Corden celebrated his last show on CBS’ The Late Late Show on Thursday, where he played a playful prank on his own mother Margaret.
Both of James’s parents – Margaret and his father Malcolm – made the trip across the pond for the final episode, as the 44-year-old comedian acknowledged them in the audience as he began his monologue.
‘My father and mother are here. Are you okay, mommy, daddy, are you keeping it together?’ he asked his parents.
His mum Margaret – who raised the late-night talk show host with her husband in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire – said she was fine… for a while.
“Until you asked me to kiss you before we came and then I was gone,” Margaret said, holding back tears, when Corden made a Botox joke.

“I didn’t even know you could move your face that much since all your Botox,” he said as the crowd began to laugh, with Margaret replying, “Oh fuck off.”
Corden added, “She said to me last night, she said we could still come out here and she said why?”
“She said there’s a certain collagen for my lips that I can’t get at home,” he said as both his parents laughed.
After a brief rundown of humorous news stories, Corden warmly thanked everyone who has watched his show over the past eight years.
“We gave it our all and I’m so grateful, I truly am, to everyone who watched our show night after night here on CBS. Dan, Stephanie, William. That’s it, really,” Corden joked.
He was even surprised with a message from US President Joe Biden before he got serious about the latest show.
“James, congratulations on your incredible run. 1200 shows in eight years. But after working for me for a day at the White House. I’m surprised you lasted eight years,” Biden joked.
“To you, Reggie, and the entire team, thank you for all the joy you’ve brought to homes across America,” Biden added.

“And a special thank you for never asking me to sing in the car. I can’t sing at all,” he added, referring to his popular Carpool Karaoke segment.
“We’ll miss you, buddy. I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do next,’ concluded the commander-in-chief.
Corden took over The Late Late Show from Craig Ferguson in March 2015, in a format similar to Britain’s The Graham Norton Show, with all his guests together.
Shortly after Corden announced he was leaving the show, CBS revealed they were dropping The Late Late Show altogether, opting for a revival of @midnight – which previously aired on Comedy Central – to replace The Late Late Show.
