James Corden returns to London party circuit at Soho House following The Little Mermaid premiere

James Corden returned to the London social scene when he attended the premiere of The Little Mermaid at Soho House on Monday night.

The actor, 44, recently returned to the UK after filming the final episode of his US talk show The Late Late Show last month and leaving Hollywood.

James, who was not on the red carpet earlier in the evening, appeared in high spirits at the star-studded party dressed in all black while wearing a velvet blazer over a simple T-shirt.

He wore dress pants and completed the effortlessly stylish look with a pair of white sneakers.

It comes after James enjoyed a homecoming drink with his friends Dominic Cooper and Justin Theroux.

James headed to The Lansdowne pub in North London’s Primrose Hill on Saturday and kept things casual in a black jumper, jeans and white trainers.

Actor Dominic, 44, opted for a similar ensemble but added a pop of color to his look with a bold red jacket.

They were seen taking a stroll to the boozer, where they met Theroux, 51, and The White Lotus executive producer, David Bernad.

He was seen the next day in the crowd at the Brentford v West Ham United football match at Gtech Community Stadium.

James, who supports West Ham, was joined by his son Max as they watched the Stratford club lose to Brentford by two clean sheets.

An emotional James was in tears as he wrapped up his last The Late Late Show after eight years at the helm, as he prepared to return to the UK and regain favor with the British public.

The TV personality ended his run on US nighttime television late last month by performing a piano ballad with several references to his 1,200 episodes.

His latest guests included his friend Harry Styles and comedian Will Ferrell, messages of support from President Joe Biden and a Carpool Karaoke with Adele.

PR pundits have claimed James could be poised for a major move to ITV, even replacing rival Jonathan Ross as part of a charm offensive to ‘win back the British public’ after a slew of negative headlines in the US.

Towards the end of the musical number, James’ voice cracked and tears welled up in his eyes as he looked into the camera.

He sang, ‘And part of me thinks why don’t I stay here forever? But deep in my heart I just know. There are no more shows to watch. It’s time for me to go. It’s time. Thanks for watching, that’s our show.’

The audience applauded and gave him a standing ovation as the star waved goodbye for the last time.

He said, “Thank you so much for your time, everyone. I’m going to miss you. Good night.’

The Into The Woods star pointed to the camera before turning to his audience and greeting them.

He wiped away the tears with the sleeve of his jacket as he walked to the curtain and waved one last time to the audience as he took in the moment.

The actor and presenter said he chose to leave the show because he wanted to spend more time with his family after a heartfelt conversation with his son.

But in recent months, he’s been plagued by negative press about his off-screen antics, including an argument with a restaurant owner who banned him for being rude to staff.

After first achieving fame on British TV with roles in Hollyoaks and Gavin & Stacey, Corden made his way to life in LA and amassed a £50million fortune by flaunting his glitzy life as he played Prince Harry interviewed on a bus.
