“I was supposed to see her a few weeks ago but I couldn’t because I was busy doing some stupid work,” she posted.
‘I missed the chance to tell her I love her. And to hold her one last time.
βThis is a reminder to put loved ones first so that you will never have the unbearable regrets that I have now. F**k work. F**k that nonsense. Call your loved ones.β
She captioned the post: βI lost a friend very suddenly this week. Don’t wait until later. Don’t assume that you can just grow old together. Don’t assume the world is fair or logical. Don’t take anyone or anything you love for granted for a moment.
‘My heart is completely broken and I don’t think I will ever recover.’
Isabelle Thomas, 39, was found lying by the pool at Hotel Angeleno on Monday evening.
Her husband of five years, Bradley Thomas, is currently busy promoting his Oscar-nominated film Killers of the Flower Moon. The couple have twin daughters named Poppy and Grace, with Thomas also being a stepmother to Thomas’ older children Lucy and Charlie.
The manner of death has been ruled a suicide by the LA County Coroner’s Office, citing multiple traumatic injuries. The LAPD told DailyMail.com that police responded to the scene about a deceased woman found in the pool.
Thomas, daughter of Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow and his ex-wife Penelope, enjoyed a privileged childhood during which she attended the private King Edward’s School and Prior Park College in Bath.
She then attended Oxford University β the British equivalent of Harvard β and graduated with a degree in biological sciences. A varied career followed, during which Thomas addressed the UN and the World Bank, among others, and was appointed as a technical advisor by former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Thomas also loved to party and worked as a DJ, with photos uploaded to an old Facebook profile showing her on a night out at glitzy events in London.
She moved to California and continued her work as a consultant and producer and was appointed to the UCLA Center of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board.
She was a DJ with performances such as Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix and the official afterparty for the Grammy Awards. She was a well-known face on the transatlantic social scene, with friends including musician James Blake and his presenter girlfriend Jameela Jamil. Thomas was also photographed with Amy Winehouse at a 2010 charity event in Camden, London, where the tragic singer lived.

Born in the Cotswolds as Isabelle Lawrence, her father was Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow β a senior physicist at Cheltenham General Hospital, who subsequently became the head of the radiotherapy unit at the Bristol Oncology Centre.
Sir Henry and her mother, Penelope Nunan, divorced in 1993 after fourteen years of marriage.
She grew up with a brother five years older than her, Christopher Cosmo Lawrence.
Izzy attended King Edward’s School in Bath and then studied biological sciences at Oxford University, attended Brasenose College and studied neuroscience and animal behaviour.
After graduating, she was appointed by David Cameron to the Prime Minister’s Tech City Advisory Board in 2013.
She created a series of music nights called Apocalypstick and began playing live gigs including Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix, the official after-party for the Grammy Awards and Vogue’s Fashion Nights Out.
In one video, she sits on a September 2013 panel and comments on designer Jil Sander’s latest collection, introducing herself as “a presenter, consultant and creator who deals with science, art and style.”

In April 2014 she was featured in The Los Angeles Timesin an article about young tech entrepreneurs and influencers using a private jet company to fly to Coachella.
She was described as a ‘DJ-slash-model-slash-BBC-TV presenter-slash-Oxford-grad’, who had just extended her visa to stay in the United States.
She and James Blake – who would date Jamil the following year – were both there to DJ, while Izzy, as she was known, was DJing for a Lacoste event.
The multi-hyphenate subsequently served as an advisor to the World Bank and spoke before audiences at the United Nations climate change group, the Conference of Parties.
She also joined the UCLA Center of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board.
It is not known how she met Bradley Thomas, but the couple married in 2018 and had two young children.
They were recently pictured together at the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills on January 13.
The tragic news comes now that Bradley’s film has been nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, among other awards.
Thomas was also one of the producers behind other hit films, including There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber.
