The actress, 37, put on a leggy show in the short summer Bardot dress as she walked arm-in-arm with her musician boyfriend James Blake.

The podcaster protected her face with a pair of silver mirror sunglasses as she kept her head down.

She completed the outfit with a white leather crossbody bag and chunky white Chelsea boots.

The pair appeared to be in good spirits as they walked around the city after grabbing a takeaway coffee.

James, 35, completed the look with a pair of black trainers and a black leather handbag.

Born in London, Jameela moved to America in 2016, where she has lived ever since.

The star recently spent a few months in Europe last summer and the trip inspired her to speak out about the unattainable beauty standards placed on women.

On her Instagram earlier this week, the star wrote: ‘It’s bad for my soul to see women stop aging in LA. I just went back to Europe, where women have wrinkles and facial expressions, and it was so beautiful and refreshing.

‘You have no idea until you stop seeing how crazy the conditioning is to get used to men only looking like they’ve lived. As a woman, is it still considered embarrassing to have visual proof of your longevity?

‘I don’t mean to shame anyone with fillers or Botox as many of them look beautiful. But isn’t it also wonderful to see variety and signs of life and expression?

Jameela went on to discuss the pressure there is on women to look young, especially in the Hollywood industry.

“Everyone here (LA) is starting to turn into the same face. And I understand why. We have beauty rules set for us, and we all, myself included, feel this underlying pressure to conform.

“I still think older faces are beautiful and before that starts to distort in my mind, I need to spend less time in this city and this industry and MUCH less time online.”

Addressing the post later, the star confirmed that she would always tell her followers if she was going to undergo a surgical procedure.

‘I’ll always say it if I ever do anything surgically to myself. There is no shame in the surgical/cosmetic game, but without transparency we participate in patriarchal gaslighting of other women; and that, in my opinion, is not a kind or helpful act.
