Jameela Jamil has criticized the ‘era of Ozempic heroin chic’ in Hollywood and warned that even super-slim stars are turning to slimming pills.

The Good Place actress, who has publicly documented her own teenage struggles with anorexia, said it’s “hard to see how” already thin stars got fat shots “to go from slim to super skinny.”

In a post on Instagram – alongside a video of herself eating in a black bikini – the 38-year-old told her almost four million followers: ‘The number of people in my industry choosing to go from skinny to super skinny is finally achieving obedient, aloof body to match the obedient sample sizes… was hard to watch.

“Especially for those of us who have battled eating disorders. Who are they actually doing it for?’

She added, “I plan to see this cycle out. Curves will return. They always do that.

‘Then they leave again. Then come back.

“I don’t play with my brain, my heart, my bone density or my metabolism for a trend.”

In May, the star revealed how her eating disorder had ‘destroyed’ her bone density.

She said: ‘I am so sorry for my body that I have so seriously jeopardized my future for a beauty standard and to try to fit in with other people.’
