Jamal Adams was ruled out for the remainder of the Seattle Seahawks’ Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants with a concussion.
The safety returned to the field after 385 days on the sidelines with a quadriceps tendon tear, but that only lasted nine games on Monday evening.
Adams went low to tackle Daniel Jones during a scramble when the Giants quarterback’s left knee struck the side of the Seahawks star’s helmet.
As he was led to the medical tent, Adams was visibly frustrated and angrily raged at the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant.
He was then taken to the locker room to be evaluated and was ruled out by the Seahawks with a concussion.

Once one of the top safeties in the NFL, Adams missed almost the entire 2022 NFL season after tearing his quad in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.
That came one season after he signed a four-year, $72 million contract to stay with Seattle.
In 2021, Adams tore his labrum in Week 13 and sat out the rest of that season as well.
Adams made a homecoming of sorts at MetLife Stadium, where he played for three years as a member of the New York Jets.
So in many ways this meant a return not just to playing, but to the home stadium of the team that drafted him.
However, the big return didn’t last long for the former first-team All-Pro safety.
Adams hasn’t received any accolades since the 2020 season, his first in Seattle. It was that year he was named to his third Pro Bowl and named to the All-Pro second team.
It’s yet another injury to the Seahawks’ depleted defensive secondary, with cornerbacks Coby Bryant, Artie Burns and Tre Brown all ruled out before the game started.
