Jake Quickenden’s pregnant wife Sophie left fans in stitches after she found out she was expecting a third son and would soon be in the minority.
The couple, who married in 2022, revealed the gender alongside their sons on Instagram on Saturday, with the family cutting open a cake to discover whether the cake inside was blue or pink.
Sophie, who already has a three-year-old son with the 35-year-old X Factor star and her other son Freddie from a previous relationship, said: “My gut feeling is, boy.”
Jake chimed in, “My gut feeling is it’s a boy too, I think we’re going to be a boy family,” before carefully pushing champagne flutes into the icing to reveal a blue cake.
As the singer excitedly screamed, “It’s a brother, it’s a brother,” Sophie groaned, “For God’s sake. I knew it. Oh man, where are all the girls?”

While Jake later wrote: ‘We are over the moon, as long as the little one is healthy and happy that is all that matters. Soph would have loved a girl to support her but we are so used to boys and we couldn’t be happier,’

Last month, Sophie announced her pregnancy, showing off her growing belly in a pink swimsuit. She later clarified that the color was not indicative of the gender of her baby, as some fans had speculated she was having a girl.
She wrote: ‘Boys too, the swimsuit is not a hint to gender. We didn’t know what we had at the time. I had the illness with both boys too, but this time it was definitely worse.’
Next to the photo of her in the swimsuit, she said: ‘Thank you for all your lovely messages and congratulations. I’m slowly trying to process them all.
‘This pregnancy definitely felt harder than my other two. I have been really sick for the past 9 weeks and it is still going on. And the fatigue, WOW..

The couple previously announced that they were pregnant after “trying for a long time” and posted an emotional montage on Instagram of the family hearing the happy news.
