Calvin Ridley celebrated his first game in 686 days by catching his first Jaguars touchdown pass in the first quarter and electrifying Colts fans in Indianapolis.

The former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver missed most of the 2021 season due to mental health reasons, and then the entire 2022 season after being suspended for betting on games, forfeiting all of his $11.1 million salary.

The Jaguars traded for the 28-year-old regardless of his suspension, and they were rewarded almost immediately in their first game of the season when he connected with quarterback Trevor Lawrence for a first-quarter touchdown.

On Jacksonville’s second drive of the day, the Jags were staring down a 3rd-and-7 just nine yards from the end zone.

As the Colts brought the rush, Lawrence scrambled out of the pocket and found a wide-open Ridley in the end zone.
