During the first quarter of the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, wide receiver and punt returner Jamal Agnew took one of the biggest hits of the night and it was from his own teammate.

Agnew attempted to play a punt and just after calling for a fair catch to avoid being hit by the defense, punt return team shooter Tevaughn Campbell was pushed into Agnew by a Saints defender.

Not only did the ball bounce off Campbell’s back, resulting in a fumble, but he also completely laid out Agnew as a result of the collision.

While New Orleans recovered, Agnew lay on his back as if he had to look around to figure out exactly what had happened.

Agnew was placed on a concussion protocol and assessed for head injuries before ultimately returning to the match.

The 28-year-old wideout put in a decent performance the rest of the evening.

He finished the game with four receptions for 36 yards and made a huge block on Christian Kirk’s 44-yard touchdown, which ended up being the winning score.

Starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence played through the pain of a sprained knee to help lead Jacksonville to a well-deserved win.

Lawrence was considered a question mark all week after the injury forced him to leave the Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth quarter, and his status as a starter was not confirmed until shortly before game time.

Jacksonville’s defense dominated the game for most of the evening after not allowing New Orleans to reach the end zone until the fourth quarter.

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. picked up two rushing touchdowns during the game, bringing his total to seven for the season.
