Jadon Sancho likes social media post appearing to criticise his time at Man United… after the £73m forward returned to form with impressive display for Borussia Dortmund in Champions League win over PSV

Jadon Sancho has liked a social media post that appeared to criticize his time at Manchester United.

The forward has been slowly getting back to his best since his move to Borussia Dortmund in January, which at least temporarily ended his time at United.

After enduring a torrid time in the Premier League, which saw him banned from the United squad following a public row with manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho featured regularly for old Dortmund.

On Wednesday, the striker put in possibly his best performance in years when he was awarded the Player of the Match award for his performance against PSV as he helped his side reach the last eight of the Champions League.

And in retrospect, he liked a social media post from his club that seemed to define his spell in England.

“Sancho is doing Sancho things again,” said the official Dortmund account on X, formerly Twitter.

The wide man was quick to respond to the post, which contained a video of some of his impressive moments following this week’s European victory.

It seemed to indicate that 23-year-old Sancho had struggled until he pulled on the Dortmund shirt again after rejoining the club on January 11.

Since his return, he has made 10 appearances and scored twice, including at the weekend when Dortmund defeated Werder Bremen 3-1 in the Bundesliga. He also provided two assists.

He is unlikely to play for United again and may leave in the summer, finally ending his two-year nightmare since joining the Red Devils from Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

However, the attacker seems happy to be back in Germany and expressed his gratitude for the club after the victory over PSV.

“I’m just grateful that I got the goal for the team,” he said. ‘I have always had a special place for Borussia Dortmund, this is where I made my name, so I have to be grateful to them, but also to my teammates who believe in me.’
