Jade Thirlwall transforms into a scorned bride in a stunning corset and veil as she releases haunting video for an emotional new version of her track Angel Of My Dreams

Jade Thirlwall has shared a stunning new version of her track Angel Of My Dreams, after the original racked up over 15 million streams upon release.

The 31-year-old Little Mix star got her solo career off to a flying start and continued her success with this SAD (slow, angelic, dramatic) version of her upbeat hit.

Jade unveiled the track with an accompanying performance video, transforming into a mocking bride for the haunting clip, dressed in a tight white corset and matching veil.

As the video begins, Jade’s face is hidden behind a huge veil and she moves through an abandoned palace as she sings the song.

Suddenly the lights change the star as she sings the song under a glittering spotlight, while also singing the closing vocals of the song.

Angel of My Dreams is a huge critical and commercial success for Jade.

The song has been streamed over 15 million times to date and entered the UK charts at number 7, making it the third highest new entry for a British artist this year.

The accompanying video was a #1 trending video on YouTube for 10 days.

This comes after Jade once again criticised Simon Cowell for her debut single, claiming his record label had ‘screwed Little Mix’.

Jade rose to fame in the band after they formed on The X Factor in 2011, alongside Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jesy Nelson. They split in 2022, after Jesy left in 2020.

The group switched from Simon’s record label Syco to RCA during the recording of their fifth album LM5, after a disagreement arose with the music mogul.

In her debut single Angel Of My Dreams, Jade sings ‘sold my soul to a Psycho’, which sounds very similar to the ex-label.

MailOnline contacted representatives for Jade, Syco Entertainment and Simon for comment.

A representative for Syco said: ‘I’m sure the entire team who have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes with Little Mix to make the group a success will always wish them success as solo artists.’

In 2020, Jade claimed that Little Mix, who left Simon’s record label Syco, had been “fuckin'” the group.

The quartet wanted to encourage female empowerment through their music, but felt hampered in doing so under their previous label and their former boss.

Jade told The Sun: ‘We did a bit but we had a label change during the LM5 process and that really screwed us over. It was harder to show all our creativity in the way we would have liked.

“The LM5 album was very much about women’s rights and our experiences in the industry. We’re kind of cruising at the moment. That period in our career was pretty tough.”

Jade said the group has learned to stay true to their laurels since their early days in the industry.

She said, “I feel like we’re in a good place right now — we’re at RCA and we’re working on a new record, which is really exciting. We’ve learned to really stick to our principles and do what we believe in.”

Simon insisted at the time that he had “never had a falling out” with the group and that tensions between him and Little Mix’s management, Modest Management, had led to an “embarrassing row” over writing credits for the song Woman Like Me.

The music mogul even called the girls “the hardest working group” he’d ever worked with.

It has now been revealed that Little Mix earned an impressive £10 million in 2019 alone after leaving Simon’s record label in 2018.

Accounts for their company Eternal Dance Media Limited show the singers earned £6 million in 2019, up £2 million on the previous year.

Documents from Eternal Magic Touring Limited also reportedly show that the four stars paid themselves a £4.6 million dividend in 2019.

If we add these two amounts together, the band managed to rake in over £10 million that year.

At the time, it was reported that the band had earned a whopping £28.5 million since winning The X Factor in 2011.

The girl band formed in 2011 after they both auditioned as solo singers for The X Factor.

Their debut album DNA reached the top 10 in ten countries, including the UK and the US, and the four women quickly rose to international fame.
