Jade Thirlwall sent fans into overdrive on Thursday when she teased the release of her first solo single.
The 31-year-old singer, who rose to fame as a member of girl group Little Mix, announced the exciting news on Instagram to her fans, who were eagerly awaiting updates on her solo career.
Jade shared a montage of clips and captioned the post: ‘No more “soon” jadeofficial.com’.
Fans responded en masse in the comments and said that they had been waiting for it for a long time.
One ecstatic fan wrote: ‘THIS IS POP EMERGENCY OMGGG.’; ‘SHOUT!!!!!!!!!’; ‘Okay, but like when’; ‘FINALLY OMG’; LETS GOO!!!Finally jeed.’

Former bandmates Perrie Edwards, 30, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 32, also showed their support for the star.
Perrie excitedly responded, “Ahhh, she’s coming!!!! (loving hearts in her eyes and clapping hands).
While Leigh-Anne showed her support by saying: ‘Arghhhhhhhhhh I’m screaming! Literally screaming! Let’s go my girl (flame emojis).’
This comes as Jade is reportedly set to criticize Simon Cowell again with her debut single, after claiming his record label has ‘screwed Little Mix’.
The singer, who is gearing up to release her first solo track since the band’s breakup, has proven that their feud is far from over.
Jade rose to fame in the band after forming on The X Factor in 2011, alongside Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jesy Nelson. They split in 2022, after Jesy left in 2020.
The group switched from Simon’s label Syco to RCA during the recording of their fifth album LM5 after a reported falling out with the music mogul.
In her debut single, Angel Of My Dreams, Jade sings “sold my soul to a Syco,” referring to the incident, according to The sun.
Fans then flocked to the comments section to express their excitement, claiming it had been a long time coming
The publication also reported that the song’s music video features a cigar-smoking music industry executive in what is believed to be a reference to Simon.
MailOnline contacted representatives for Jade, Syco Entertainment and Simon for comment.
A representative for Syco said: ‘The entire team who have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes with Little Mix to make the group a success would no doubt always wish them continued solo success.’
In 2020, Jade claimed that upon leaving Simon’s record label Syco, Little Mix had ‘screwed’ the group.
The quartet wanted to encourage the emancipation of women through their music, but felt prevented from doing so under their previous record label and their former boss.
Speak with The sunJade said: ‘We did a bit but we had a label change during the LM5 process and that really screwed us. It was harder to show all our creativity in the way we would have liked.
‘The LM5 album focused very heavily on women’s rights and our experiences in the industry. We’re kind of cruising at the moment. That period in our career was quite difficult.’
Jade said that since their early days in the industry, the group has learned to stay true to their laurels.
She said: “I feel like we’re in a good place now — we’re at RCA and we’re working on a new record, which is really exciting. We have learned to really stick to our principles and do what we believe in.’

Simon insisted at the time that he had “never had a beef” with the group and that tensions between himself and Little Mix’s management, Modest Management, led to an “embarrassing row” over a songwriting credit for their song Woman Like Me.
The music mogul even labeled the girls as “the hardest working group” he has ever worked with.
It has now been revealed that Little Mix earned an impressive £10 million in 2019 alone after leaving Simon’s record label in 2018.
Accounts from their firm Eternal Dance Media Limited showed the singers earned £6 million in 2019 – an increase of £2 million on the previous year.
While paperwork for Eternal Magic Touring Limited also reportedly shows the four stars paid themselves a £4.6 million dividend in 2019.

The girl band formed in 2011 after they both auditioned for The X Factor as solo singers.
Their debut album DNA peaked in the top 10 in ten countries, including the UK and the US, and the four women quickly achieved international fame.
