Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden polishes late star’s headstone, sobs and lays images of Strictly star son Bobby during grave visit… after failing to get a ticket to final amid feud

Jade Goody's mother Jackiey Budden appeared heartbroken as she visited the late star's grave in Epping Forest on Wednesday, 14 years after her death.

The 66-year-old Celebrity Big Brother alum looked distressed as he polished Jade's gravestone and laid out images of the star and her children Bobby, who is currently on Strictly Come Dancing, and Freddie.

One of the images she placed on the grave was on display Bobby, 20, and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell34, dancing on the show with the words: 'Doing Jade pride' on top, while also leaving childhood photos of the boys.

Jackiey's upset is well documented, as earlier this month she spoke of her sadness at not being able to watch her grandson perform on Strictly from the studio audience due to a family rift with his father Jeff Brazier.

Speaking about her journey to the grave, Jackiey's friend told MailOnline: 'She mainly wants to show Bobby that he is thinking of her on what is certainly the biggest day of his career…

One of the images she posted on the grave showed Bobby, 20, and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, 34, dancing to the show with the words: 'Doing Jade proud' on it, while also sharing childhood photos of the boys left behind.

Jackiey worked hard to create a festive scene at the graveside, as she placed an Elf On A Shelf mascot on a nearby tree, erected Christmas tree-shaped decorations and then vigorously polished the headstone with a cloth.

'She couldn't be there to see him in person, but Jackiey wanted to show her love and support and this was literally the only way she knew how…

“She also wanted to make Jade's voice heard, she wanted to make sure people remembered that Bobby was both Jade's and Jeff's son. She is the only link between the boys and Jade and she doesn't want to forget that.'

Jade appeared in the third series of Big Brother in 2002 and entered the house as an unknown dental assistant from South East London before finding fame, but she tragically died from cervical cancer in 2009.

Earlier this month, MailOnline revealed Jackiey was being kept away from the Strictly audience due to a heartbreaking family rift.

Before his second performance, Bobby received a series of good luck messages from friends and family. His father Jeff had said the “best Christmas present” would be to visit the son, but his grandmother was nowhere to be found.

Due to an argument with Jeff, his maternal grandmother, Jackiey, was unable to get a seat at any of the live shows on this series.

Three days ago, Jackiey gave up and came up with another plan to illustrate her support for the Strictly sensation. A source tells me: 'It is non-negotiable, Jackiey is not strictly going to do that. '

About her journey to the grave, a friend of Jackiey told MailOnline: 'She mainly wants to show Bobby that he is thinking of her on what is certainly the biggest day of his career.'

“He and his brother Freddy are her only grandchildren and she adores them. There is nothing she would like more than to be there to see him live.”
