According to a report, former AEW star Jade Cargill has signed a major league contract with the WWE.
Cargill has been linked with a move to the promotion after it emerged she would be leaving AEW after three years with the company.
The 31-year-old made her professional wrestling debut when she joined, having only started training a few years earlier and attending a tryout with the WWE in 2019 before training under the likes of Bryan Danielson.
After signing with AEW in 2020, Cargill had a successful run in the women’s division, quickly progressing as she captured the TBS Championship, going on an undefeated streak.
However, now it appears she will be moving to the WWE and according to her, she will earn more than the standard salary for NXT talent. Struggling headlines.

It was unclear whether Cargill would wrestle on NXT, the WWE’s developmental brand, or on RAW or SmackDown, the flagship shows.
She was reportedly at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando earlier this week, although it was claimed she would not be at the center on Tuesday’s episode of NXT.
It is reported that Cargill will appear on RAW or SmackDown after signing a deal worth more than the standard £55,000 per year that most NXT talent reportedly receive.
There are high expectations that Cargill will become a star in the WWE and officials are said to be pleased to have secured the signing of one of AEW’s most promising performers.
While it is unclear which direction she will be taken to begin her career with the company, it is likely that she will mingle with some of WWE’s most popular and successful stars.
While holding the TBS title in AEW, Cargill went on an undefeated streak as the inaugural champion. She won 60 straight matches and held the title for 508 days before losing to Kris Statlander.
She will now look to continue her wrestling career as she joins the hottest promotion in the industry.
