Jada Pinkett Smith has been talking about a lot of things this week, from her marriage to an Oscar slapper to her sexuality with her soulmate while promoting her memoir Worthy.
And, she’s not stopping yet. In conversation with People about her ‘soul mate’ Tupac Shakur, dropped another bombshell when she claimed the late All Eyez on Me rapper suffered from alopecia.
“I don’t think Tupac ever talked about the alopecia that he had,” she said of the condition, which she also has.
Skakur had similar hair loss issues to Smith – who revealed she had been separated from Will Smith for seven years – which she said began in 1991, after he was arrested by Oakland police for jaywalking.
“After he was in Northern California with the cops who beat him up, he started losing his hair. And his alopecia patterns were far more extreme than mine,” recalls the host of The Red Table Talk (52).

Shakur later sued the Oakland Police Department and settled the case.
Smith also said the California hitmaker kept his condition a secret due to social pressure.
“I don’t think Pac ever talked about his alopecia, but he also looked really good with a bald head.” But that was at a time and during an era where you wouldn’t — he just didn’t want to talk about it.’
The Girls Trip star met the rapper – who was murdered in 1996 – at Baltimore High School for the Arts when they were both teenagers.
“I’m sure if (Shakur) were alive today, he would speak publicly about his condition,” she added.
The Collateral actress went public with her own battle with alopecia in 2018.
“I’m glad I had the opportunity and we’ll have a chance to talk about how alopecia affects me,” she said.
“And I just hope that it gives people the freedom to talk about it and not feel ashamed about it and not have that stigma.” And there’s a lot of shame around alopecia.’
During the interview with Rolling out, The Nutty Professor star has opened up about her friendship with Tupac and called him her ‘soulmate’.

“If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think Pac and I have taken a few trips together,” she said.
However, she clarified that they were not romantic because they had no ‘chemistry’.
“It’s that chemistry of friendship and love,” she said. “It was almost as if God made us like that.” It was like, look, I’m going to get you all together, right? You will all be a dynamic duo.
‘But I’ll tell you right now, I’m going to make it so you won’t be able to get together because it just wasn’t meant to be.’
