Politician looks unrecognizable as she undergoes a glamorous transformation for the Midwinter Ball and dons a stunning dress with diamond jewels
Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie looked unrecognizable as she swapped her usual blazer for a ballgown at the Midwinter Ball in Canberra on Wednesday.
The political firefighter, 52, put on a spectacular display as she descended the steps in the Great Hall of the House of Parliament.
Jacqui slipped into a sensational strapless black dress with intricate statement beading around the neck.
The former army corporal wore a small beaded clutch and wore an assortment of jewelry, including a diamond tennis bracelet, to the glamorous event.
She completed her look by wearing her dark brown locks in an elegant updo with a few strands framing her face.

A number of admirers took to social media to compliment her outfit choice.
A few wrote simply: ‘Absolutely beautiful’.
Another said, “I didn’t recognize it [sic] Jacqui Lambie.’
Senator Lambie was later spotted rubbing shoulders with Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley, with both women posing arm in arm for the cameras.

Jacqui has been very open about her dating life and her difficulty finding a partner in the past.
In January last year, she admitted to being “single for so long” on the Today Show as she discussed a woman stuck on a blind date during the lockdown.
The mother-of-two, who has been single for 18 years, made the confession during a hot topics segment featuring journalist Van Badham and newscaster Alex Cullen.
“He cooks and cleans for her. [The woman’s verdict of being stuck with him] is a bit harsh, don’t you think?’ Cullen asked as he discussed the story.

‘Oh my God. He cooks and cleans, he barely talks – kick him at me! Kick him at me!’ explained Lambie.
Cullen then asked Lambie what her “ideal blind date” would be.
She replied, “Well, I can’t get a normal date, so maybe I need a blind date.” That’s what I need. They always scare me, mate.
“That’s why I’ve been single for so long.”
Lambie has often spoken about her status as a bachelor, once telling Sunday Night that she had “turned off” the romantic side of her life after being single for so long.
She has described her ideal man as “a good Aussie guy who can hold his own” and indicated that she would be open to dating a “tradie with calluses on his hands.”
In 2014, Lambie memorably said that her “perfect man” doesn’t even “need to talk,” but “must have a bunch of money and they must have a package between their legs.” pictured
When Australian politics was rocked by sex scandals in 2018, the former soldier joked on KIIS FM that she was probably the only politician who wasn’t sexually active.
“I’m so annoyed, I must be the only one who can’t bang, honestly,” she said.

She later apologized for these comments.
