Jacob Elordi’s rude response to a bizarre viral fashion trend HE started

Jacob Elordi has given his opinion on a viral trend inspired by his own fashion choices.

The 27-year-old Australian actor was photographed last year in a bookstore at Sydney airport with several books in his hands, one of which was in his trouser pockets.

The Euphoria star was also spotted at other airports or in cafes with a novel in his back pocket.

Since then, social media users have been imitating the Saltburn star’s style and trying to stuff their favourite books into the pockets of their jeans and trousers.

When Jacob was recently asked about this bizarre trend by a journalist, iHeartRadio journalist he seemed confused.

“You’ve created an epidemic of men carrying books in their back pockets,” the reporter said.

“What do you think about the book in the back pocket? Other boys do it because of you,” she asked.

“I think maybe people need to get out more,” he replied.

Since then, social media users have been emulating the Saltburn star’s style and attempting to slip their favorite books into the pockets of their jeans and pants. But when Jacob was recently asked about the bizarre trend by an iHeartRadio reporter, he seemed confused

The social media trend started almost immediately after the Hollywood star was filmed shopping for books in Sydney.

A TikTokker named george.bower filmed himself trying to stuff his favorite books into his jeans.

He subtitled his video‘See if my favorite books pass the Jacob Elordi book-in-pocket challenge’ before I ‘fit’ several hardcover books into the pockets of his jeans.

“You’ve caused an epidemic of men carrying books in their back pockets,” the reporter said. “What do you think about the book in the back pocket? Other guys do it because of you,” she asked.

Another TikTok user named grandpasbookclub posed in a video in a white shirt and navy blue pants, before turning around and noticing a book in his back pocket.

In the caption, the social media user, who has more than 12,000 likes on his post, wrote: “Just another Aussie turning on Jacob Elordi mode.”

Elordi began his career in 2018 with roles in the Australian films Swinging Safari and The Very Excellent Mr Dundee.

“I think maybe people should get outside more,” Jacob replied

A few years later he moved to Los Angeles after being cast in the popular American teen drama series Euphoria.

The Saltburn star also appeared in two newsreels and a miniseries, all of which revolve around different real-life wars.

In the film Oh, Canada, released in May, Elordi starred opposite his co-star Richard Gere in a complex drama exploring the life of a Vietnam War draft dodger.

Elordi will also star in the film On Swift Horses, opposite British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones. The film is about people rebuilding their lives after the Korean War.

He will also star in the Australian miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North, which focuses on a doctor’s love affair during World War II.
