The woman who accused Jackson Mahomes of forcibly kissing her at the Overland Park, Kansas bar she owned has received death threats since her release, she said in a new interview.
Aspen Vaughn, owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, spoke to the Kansas City star in May, saying Mahomes — the brother of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick — kissed her “out of the blue” in February and that she “pushed him off.”
And after Mahomes’ appearance in court in May, she recently told the publication that she suffered from harassment and vandalism at her restaurant, which eventually led her to close the business.
“I feel like, ever since it happened, my safety is definitely in jeopardy,” Vaughn said The star.
“I feel attacked by people I’ve never met. Why do victims not report? Because they are treated that way.’

Mahomes was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault in May after he was released on $100,000 bail.
He was also accused of shoving a 19-year-old male waiter on several occasions, and was hit with one felony battery charge.
Surveillance video of the incident subsequently became public, showing Mahomes kissing Vaughn.
“It’s hard to own a company and go through everything we’ve been through,” administrative assistant Stephanie Lopez added.
“We were so close to making it, and then all this happened.”
Vaughn told The Star in July that business at the bar was down 75 percent and that she even believes someone damaged natural gas lines, caused water damage by pulling a fire alarm and cut connections to the venue’s central air conditioning.
Mahomes’ lawyer, Brandan Davies, previously told The Star that his client had done “nothing wrong”.
During his court appearance in May, Mahomes attempted to contact four people he was previously barred from speaking to as part of the terms of his May 3 release from prison.
The judge gave him permission to contact three of the four.
He promptly left court after the proceedings without speaking to on-the-spot reports.

He is due back in court later this month for another hearing.
The younger Mahomes has been in the spotlight for viral behavior on TikTok, but has also sparked controversy with his antics on the sidelines at his brother’s games.
In 2021, he poured water on a Baltimore Ravens fan following a Chiefs loss in an incident caught on video. He then tweeted, “They were thirsty.”
A month later, just after the Chiefs played the Washington Commander, Jackson shared a video of him dancing to a tribute to the late Washington player Sean Taylor, who died in 2007.
