Emotional Jackiey Budden proudly watches grandson Bobby Brazier lift the glitterball trophy on the Strictly tour in Newcastle after being banned from attending BBC final amid feud
Jackiey Budden appeared overcome with emotion as she watched grandson Bobby Brazier lift the glitterball trophy during the Strictly tour in Newcastle on Thursday.
Jade Goody’s mother, 66, was banned from attending the final of the BBC dance show, where Bobby was put in the post by Ellie Leach, amid her ongoing feud with his father Jeff Brazier.
Jackiey was in good spirits as she arrived at Utilita Stadium alone, before she was seen wiping away tears as she sat among the busy crowd.
Traveling from her home Bermondsey, London, she wrapped herself in a faux fur jacket and even brought along her own ten-point paddleboard.
Jackiey later stood up as she clapped and waved wildly on stage after her grandson’s performance.

Jackiey was in good spirits as she arrived at Utilita Stadium alone, before she was seen wiping away tears as she sat among the busy crowd.
After Bobby’s appearance in the final of Strictly in December, she said: ‘I’m very proud of Bobby. He’s doing great.
‘It’s great to see. I watch like a very proud grandmother. It’s fantastic. Of course I’m glad he’s doing well.’
But commenting on her ongoing feud with his father Jeff, she told MailOnline that he has been a c**k for nine years.
Jackiey’s daughter Jade shot to fame in the third series of the hit show but tragically died from cancer in 2009 aged just 27.
She was the first reality star to become a millionaire and amassed a £3 million business empire, including books, perfumes and sports videos.
But despite her family’s fame and success, she still lives in a ground-floor flat in an area locals say is plagued by gangs and drug dealers.
But while Bobby grew up in a stylish £1.2million home with his family in Essex, within a mile of Jackiey’s estate, 381 crimes were recorded in September – around 12 a day, according to records.
This includes 68 violent or sexual crimes, 15 robberies, 90 crimes against social behavior and 28 burglaries.

In August the number was 359, while in September last year it was 277.
Residents in the same block as Jackiey described it as rife with crime problems.
One said: ‘Drugs are being dealt everywhere. It’s open. People are attacked and robbed.
‘It has become worse in recent years. I feel sorry for Jackiey that she still lives here.’
Another, who said he was too scared to give his name, said: ‘I’m not going out after night.
‘I know that women only go out in groups. They’re terrified.’
While Jackiey remains on good terms with grandsons Bobby and his younger brother Freddie, 19, she is embroiled in a bitter feud with their father Jeff Brazier, 44.
In September, she secretly got tickets to the National Television Awards to watch Bobby get a Rising Star gong for playing Freddie Slater in EastEnders.

There she was recorded calling Jeff a ‘c***’.
Jackiey addressed the feud with Jeff Brazier when she spoke to MailOnline, she said: ‘When I came out for the NTA Awards I was loud and it’s the booze and someone said ‘oh I bet you’re really proud are ‘and’ how do you do that? you move on with Jeff Brazier’ and I said ‘he’s a**k’.
‘The next moment I’m on the internet and in the newspapers. When I came out of the O2 someone heard me say it, so they sold the story.”
When asked if she said it and why, Jackiey fumed, “Of course I said it. I have no problem with (calling him that).
‘He’s been cursed for nine years.
‘Bobby doesn’t need that tension on his head. He’s my grandson.’
In 2021, Bobby confirmed in an Instagram video that he had reconnected with his grandmother after losing contact.
He said: ‘I haven’t seen her for ages – far too long – but I went to see her twice recently.
‘And honestly, if there’s one woman you shouldn’t underestimate, it’s my grandmother.
“Honestly, she’s like a magician! It’s crazy.’
