Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has broken her silence on co-host Kyle Sandilands’ sensational strike on the show.
The shock jock, 52, stormed off his popular KIIS FM radio show on Tuesday morning after just 11 minutes on air, leaving Jackie to shut down the rest of the day’s show.
And Jackie revealed the real reason behind the tantrum as she returned to work on Wednesday – with Kyle still nowhere to be seen.
A show producer revealed Sandilands is ‘struggling with his shoulder’, before Henderson added: ‘he’s in so much pain’.
“He sent me a message saying, ‘Honey, I’m so sorry. I’m on medication and I’m not myself. I’m in so much pain,” she explained.

“I actually feel so sorry for him,” the multimillionaire radio star admitted.
Sandilands has spoken openly about a recent rotator cuff injury and was prescribed the powerful painkiller Oxycodone to deal with the discomfort.

Reflecting on their explosive on-air confrontation, Jackie admitted that she may have played a role in pushing Kyle over the edge.

Kyle had used the derogatory term to attack newsreader Brooklyn Ross before Jackie leveled the same insult at her colleague.

It was previously believed Sandilands angrily left the studio after clashing with Henderson while speaking about Covid-19 live on air on Tuesday.
The row started when Kyle revealed NSW Premier Chris Minns had canceled his studio appearance after testing positive for the virus.
Kyle became irritated when Jackie downplayed the severity of Covid, describing it as ‘just like the flu’.
He told Jackie that she would probably still self-isolate if she had the virus as she had been extremely cautious in the past, leading Jackie to shoot back: “I’m allowed to change my mind.”
Kyle then argued that she needed to have some “consistency” in her views on the virus.
The fight degenerated into shouting matches before Kyle declared he was going home and leaving the studio.
“Well, that escalated quickly,” a stunned Jackie said after Kyle left.
Executive producer Pedro Vitola then confirmed that Kyle had gone home.
Jackie continued, “What’s happening today? I tell you this full moon is confusing people.”
