Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals the REAL reason her marriage to her ex-husband Lee after co-host Kyle Sandilands claims it was his penchant for ‘models’

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed why her marriage to her ex-husband Lee Henderson ended.

The couple split in 2018 and share one daughter Kitty, 13.

On The Kyle and Jackie Show, the mother of one hinted that a lack of spontaneous romance in their relationship was a catalyst for the split.

“If you have a child, keep that in mind every now and then,” she told co-host Kyle Sandilands.

Kyle then suggested that the marriage might have been saved if she had spent more time preparing dinners for her husband.

“If you had a taco night on a Tuesday, it might have been a different ending,” he said. ‘Rissole Wednesday?’

Jackie responded, “I’m not saying that that alone will make it, I’m just saying that doing something nice for your partner is appreciated.

‘Don’t be complacent.’

Kyle then came up with his own theory about the split, arguing that it was due to Lee’s penchant for “models.”

I think it was ruined when you walked in and saw him putting stickers on the World War II balsa wood plane. You thought, “Is this my life?” he said.

“That never happened,” Jackie protested. “He’s never made an airplane.”

Kyle then corrected himself with, “Sorry, that Star Wars thing or whatever it was.”

“I love Lee and I can’t blame Lee for looking into the models. I told him he had to make some models. He must have misunderstood me, I meant Victoria’s Secret,” he joked.

Jackie also gave insight into the current state of her relationship with Lee, six years after their divorce.

She confirmed she was on good terms with her former husband, 50.

“I still like him,” Jackie revealed.

‘As a person I get along well with him. We’re good. We never have bad blood, Lee and I.”

After Kyle responded with, “You just never talked,” Jackie added that the lines of communication between the two are well and truly open.

“No, we talked because we co-parent,” she said.

The pair also discussed Jackie’s love life.

The blonde beauty said she wanted to find love again after newsreader Brooklyn Ross asked the host how she felt about the prospect of spending the rest of her life alone.

“I don’t really agree with that,” Jackie said.

‘I don’t think there’s anything wrong with me wanting that. It’s normal to want human connection – that’s who we are.

“The idea that that’s going to be forever, that’s not ideal, but if you say it’s going to be that way for the next three and four years, I’d be fine with it.”

Jackie has been married twice in the past, with her first husband being DJ ‘Ugly’ Phil O’Neil in the late ’90s.

After their divorce, Phil moved to the United Kingdom, where he was originally born.

Jackie married British photographer Lee in 2003 and the couple welcomed their daughter Catalina “Kitty” Henderson in December 2010.

The couple announced their separation in October 2018, but continue to maintain an amicable relationship as they co-parent their daughter.

Speaking to fans at Luke McLeod’s book launch for Everyday Enlightenment in February, the radio titan admitted she is ‘desperate’ for love and companionship.

She explained that she had lunch with McLeod last year when they brought up the subject of her love life and how she felt like she was “missing something.”

‘I just really want to find someone. I can’t find it and I’m a little lost right now,” she told him during their conversation.

When Luke asked why she was so desperate to get into a relationship, Jackie said she couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but it felt like “a piece” of her was “missing.”

‘I have a lot of love to give or I want that affection, that company. It just feels like something is missing in my life,” she added.
