KIIS FM radio star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed that she recently experienced a terrifying cancer scare.
The 48-year-old was preparing for a photo shoot when she found a small lump in one of her breasts.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show star opened up about the scary ordeal during an emotional interview on Channel 10’s Studio 10 on Monday.
Jackie appeared on the program with her friend and manager, Gemma O’Neill, to promote their new ‘Besties’ app.
Gemma explained that Jackie went to the bathroom during the shoot and put on a fake tan.

“She touched her breasts and said, ‘Yeah, I found something,'” Gemma explains.
“We went from the highest of the highest to the lowest of the lows in the space of 5 minutes.”
Fortunately, Jackie later got an “all clear” from doctors when she got a mammogram the day after she made her terrifying discovery.
“Fortunately, we had a mammogram done for you the next day and everything was fine,” Gemma explained.

Jackie urged viewers not to wait to get a mammogram, even if you fear the results.
“A lot of times you don’t want it because a lot of people just think the worst and are too scared to see what the result is and it’s terrifying. It’s real… and those few days are like, ‘what if what if,’” Jackie said.
“And sometimes you think, ‘I don’t want to deal with that today, I’ll deal with that next week'” — and putting it off and on, that’s not the answer.
“And it encourages someone to go and see, then I think that would beget, because you know, and more often than not good news, it’s done.
“It’s so important to do those checks.”
