Jackie O. Henderson became enraged when she was confronted on live air by a woman who claimed the radio star had ruined her life.
Angie Chase, 53, told The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Thursday that she was a contestant on the first episode of the TV series Popstars in 2000, when she was 29 years old.
Jackie, who was a judge on the reality show, had heard Angie practicing for her audition in the bathroom and had called in a film crew to capture how amazing she was.
Angie was asked to sing Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ for Jackie and the judges when the radio star hinted that she would make it. But that didn’t quite happen.
After Angie’s performance, then 19-year-old Sophie Monk auditioned with the same song, at which point Jackie decided to drop Angie and choose Sophie instead.
After following Sophie’s successful career from the sidelines, Angie decided to confront Jackie live 24 years later during the ‘Remember Me’ segment on KIIS FM.
“You chose Sophie over me!” Angie began.
Jackie’s co-host Kyle Sandilands added: “Sophie has gone on to have a very successful singing career.”

Sophie joined Bardot, one of Australia’s biggest girl bands.
The group split up after a few years and disbanded in early 2002. But Sophie went on to enjoy a successful television career.
Angie described in detail how her life was going compared to Sophie’s.
“She became The Bachelorette. I became an old maid living in Woy Woy with a cat and a fake Louis Vuitton bag! That should have been real! That’s from the Bali Louis Vuitton store.”

Jackie wondered if Angie was jealous of Sophie’s career.
“Do you often look at Sophie and think, ‘That should have been me! If only that b***h Jackie had just picked me!'” the radio queen asked.
“I can’t look at a rose without having a nervous breakdown,” Angie replied.
“I could have been on The Bachelorette, Jackie! I could have been engaged to a rock star and lived in Hollywood. Instead, I’m living in Woy Woy!” she added.
After Jackie asked what Angie does for a living now, the former Popstars contestant said: “I’m a hairdresser. Thanks Jackie. I had to go back to TAFE.”
