Jack Whitehall has laid out his fears of becoming a father days after announcing that his girlfriend, model Roxy Horner, is pregnant with their first child.
The comedian, 34, shared the happy news on his Instagram page on Sunday, along with pictures of him and Roxy, 31, holding a baby scan.
But Jack was not only “very, very excited,” but admitted he still has plenty of “growing up” to do before welcoming his little one.
Appearing on Thursday’s Heart Breakfast alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, Jack also revealed how his parents reacted after sharing the happy news.
After receiving a warm congratulations from Amanda, Jack said, “My girlfriend is pregnant. Terrified, absolutely terrified but also very, very excited and yes I need some growing up! Very quick!’

Amanda then asked, “How did Hilary and Michael, your parents, react when you told them the news?”
Jack said, “They were both thrilled, but within 5 to 10 minutes of telling them, there were a lot of references from my dad about how I fathered him with an illegitimate heir.
“And I was like wow, that’s going to be the next three or four months of my life,” Jack replied.
Jamie asked, “What’s the one thing you won’t pass on to your child that you learned from your parents?”
Jack said, “One thing I don’t want them to inherit that I inherited? From my father, I mean… gout?
That would be the first on the list! I don’t even know if that’s hereditary, but I certainly don’t want that for them.’
In their baby reveal photos, an elated Jack held up a roll of photos showing a scan of their unborn child.
Roxy later revealed to HELLO that she was relieved to “finally get pregnant” after the couple tragically miscarried last year.

Ever the funny man, he captioned the photos: “And I thought I wasn’t getting enough attention when the dog arrived…”
Roxy also posted the same images on her own page alongside the words, “The best news to share [white heart emoji]’.
Speaking after the announcement, she told the magazine: “We had a miscarriage last year and so there was a part of me that was afraid to tell about this baby too soon because I was so afraid something would happen again and I that didn’t want. gotta tell the world a little bit.”
She further revealed that the couple found out they were expecting a baby while traveling with her family to sunny Australia.
He said, “It was really beautiful because I have to tell my mom pretty much straight away and I don’t see my parents that often, so it was a really perfect moment before he went on tour.”
“We found out the same week that my grandmother had passed away. There’s a part of me that feels like my grandmother knew we were trying to have a baby and maybe this was her gift to us.”
Jack has been dating Roxy for over two years and they live with their dog Coco in a £17.5 million five bedroom house in Notting Hill.
It comes shortly after Jack admitted he was insecure about his life path after losing some friends in “rehab” while his other friends have had children.
The comedian explained that while he’s now “settled” with Roxy, he was still unsure about his future plans.
Jack recently appeared on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and said he’s lost friends through “rehab” and having “babies,” while speaking about his own life path.
He explained, “I’m settled, I have a long-term partner, I bought a house with her, we have a dog and do all those things.”
‘I don’t want to say it [my tour] I am furious against the dying of the light [laughs] but it gives me a sense of this man child… getting through this moment in my life, losing half my friends to rehab, half my friends to babies and trying to figure out which way to go.”
