Jack Whitehall got emotional as he talked about how much it means to him that his father Michael is still alive when the comedian welcomes his first child.
Funnyman Jack’s girlfriend Roxy Horner, 32, is expecting their first child, while model Roxy announced her pregnancy in May this year.
On a recent episode of his podcast The Diary Of A CEO, Jack spoke to Steven Bartlett about his fear of the death of his father, the 83-year-old TV personality, before enjoying some of the key moments in Jack’s life, including the birth of his firstborn.
Actor Jack said he’s been purposefully pursuing professional projects with his talent agent Michael, such as their Travels with My Father Netflix series, but he’s looking forward to the more private family moments to come.
Jack explained, “I wanted a baby because I wanted him to be around and know my kid and spend time with my kid.

“I’ve seen how great he is with my niece. He’s the most loving person ever and that’s why I want him to have a relationship with my child.’
He tearfully added, “I want to do all these things and have success in my career that I can share with him, and he can see and enjoy these things.
“I still think a lot about impressing him. His approval still means a lot to me.”
It comes after Roxy spoke out about her “gruesome” pregnancy as she prepares to welcome her first child with partner Jack.
The model announced in May that she was expecting a baby after a miscarriage, revealing in a recent episode of Steph’s Packed Lunch that they are having a baby girl.
Speaking to Steph McGovern, she said, “I’m having a little girl. We came up with a few names, but I feel like none really stand out. So if anyone has an idea. I’m so excited, I can’t wait.’
Asked if she was nervous about giving birth, Roxy said, “Strange no, maybe I should be.” I’m just really excited.
“I’ve always wanted a baby and a family, so it’s something that was always on the cards.”

Meanwhile, in an exclusive chat with MailOnline, Roxy opened up about her debilitating morning sickness, revealing it made her pregnancy “horrific.”
She explained, “Oh my god, I’ve been so sick.
“I’m six months now, but up to literally six months I was throwing up every day.
“Once I hit six months, I got a break and thought thank God, but I was throwing up eight times a day. It was horrible.’
She added: “Luckily I had my girlfriend who lives around the corner and she came to visit me. Things went badly for me for a while.’

Roxy’s girlfriend had to come to the rescue because Jack had to work in the United States for the first three months of her pregnancy, which Roxy said was “really tough.”
Still, she reasoned, “I had my mom visit, and then he came back for the best when I started to feel better.”
The couple have been dating for over two years and they live with their pet dog Coco in a £17.5 million five-bedroom house in Notting Hill.
She added that Jack had been “amazing” throughout her pregnancy and recently treated her and her friends to a spa day to celebrate her birthday.
