Jack Vidgen has shared a devastating update on his battle with addiction, revealing he has relapsed.
The 27-year-old Australia’s Got Talent star took to Instagram on Boxing Day to share a tearful video sharing that he has been readmitted to a rehabilitation centre.
Jack, who has been in and out of treatment five times in recent years, emotionally revealed he spent Christmas in rehab amid his struggles.
He said: ‘I relapsed about three weeks ago and am back in recovery. Today is Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, and I just wanted to give you an update on where I am.
‘I know I’ve been MIA on socials for a few weeks and that’s why. I don’t have much to say, I feel a lot of shame and guilt and I don’t really have the words right now.
‘The recordings are starting now, it’s damn hectic. So that’s where I am.’

In a caption, the singer said he was grateful to be in a “safe space” and talked about how difficult the holiday season can be for so many people.
“It’s hard to find words for how disappointed I am in myself right now and the shame I feel,” he wrote.
‘This isn’t how I wanted to spend my Christmas, but I’m grateful to be in a safe place. This is a very difficult time of year for many.
“Hold each other tight and look at those you think are struggling.
“I’m embarrassed to have to post this, but I’m also committed to sharing my journey, even through the mistakes.
‘Relapse is part of recovery. Merry Christmas, beautiful people.’
Jack was quickly flooded with support from his famous friends as they rallied around him during this difficult time.
Jodi Gordon responded to the comments, writing, “Sending you all my love, one day at a time, and you got this.”
Jack, who has been in and out of treatment five times in recent years, was last admitted to rehab in October after undergoing a five-week relapse.
Sprinter Katie Williams said: “No shame here my brother. You are human! You can be human. One day at a time, my friend. You are INCREDIBLE.”
While Hannah Ferrier said: ‘Sending you love. One day at a time. You got this. Let go of the shame: you are human.”
Jack last checked into rehab in October after undergoing a five-week relapse and shared an honest post on Instagram at the time detailing his struggles.
He said he wasn’t sure what exactly caused his relapse, but suspected the loss of two loved ones might have contributed.
‘As I write this, I am so afraid of judgement. “I’m terrified of what people will think, what they will say or whisper to each other when I pass them on the street,” he wrote.
‘For years I have been so afraid of that thing that lives inside me and that is my addiction. I just wanted to let you in and let you know that I’m not doing well.
“For years I’ve heard the saying, ‘It’s okay not to be okay,’ but I’ve never really known what that means. I feel like I understand it somewhat now.
‘I had a five-week relapse where I couldn’t catch my breath. My addiction has been the biggest struggle of my life and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
