Jack Vidgen doesn’t look like this anymore! The Voice star shocks with makeunder as he leaves glam style behind after mental health struggles
Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen has shown a completely different side of himself with a new look.
The 26-year-old singer debuted a shocking new hairstyle on Instagram this week alongside a major life announcement.
Vidgen, who became a sensation at the age of 14 on the 2011 talent show, had not shared anything on Instagram since August 11.
Jack first shared his old look with bleached and styled hair, heavy foundation and eye makeup, with perfectly groomed eyebrows and nude lipstick.
Then the next photo showed his new look, which was much more subdued, with no makeup, casual sunglasses and a close-cropped haircut.

In a caption to his post, the Australian singer said the new look came after a “mental health pause” on social media that led to the decision.
‘I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s important to me over the past five weeks and I’m currently going through a small change in my life. “I want to go back to my first love, which is singing,” he said.
“I will still be sharing life here too, I just need some distance from social media to get back in line with my values and who I am as a person.”
Looking very different now, Jack says his make-under was inspired by a ‘mental health break’ he took in the past month
But Jack says his posting style won’t change too much.
“There will still be glamor (I want to turn one of the bedrooms in my new house into a glamor room!), but there won’t be as much glamor either (like I’m bald in the second photo lol).”
It comes as Vigden faced some extreme reactions to his fashion choices earlier this year.
At the opening of Beauty and the Beast in June, Jack turned heads at Sydney’s Capitol Theater when he stepped out in a sensual Camilla dress.

Fans and critics alike on Instagram reacted viscerally to the sleek white gown that the singer paired with a full face of makeup to highlight his delicate facial features
Fans and critics alike on Instagram had a visceral reaction to the sleek white gown that the singer paired with a full face of makeup to highlight his delicate facial features.
The influencer shared some of those comments on his Stories, revealing that one hater wrote: “I really don’t get it!” before anyone else came forward.
He responded to his critics in his caption, saying, “Good news, dolls, no one cares.”
Jack followed up the hateful message by sharing a snappy “cute message” he received in his DMs.
‘This dress. I want to bend you into it,” his fan said.
Jack has recently attracted attention for his interest in women’s fashion
It comes after the influencer recently defended his decision to dress in women’s clothing and shared some choice words with his haters.
He appeared on The Morning Show in April and said he wanted to use his fame to represent young gay people.
‘I don’t care about the people who don’t ‘get’ what I do. “Growing up, I didn’t see people who looked like I do now,” he said.
“I’ve had a lot of opinions and hate about the way I look and I’m used to it and I really don’t care.”
