Jack Vidgen has defended his decision to dress in women’s clothing and had some choice words for his haters.
Appearing on The Morning Show on Thursday, the former Australia’s Got Talent star, 26, said he wanted to use his fame to represent young gay people.
“I don’t care about the people who don’t “get” what I do. Growing up, I didn’t see people who looked like me now,” he said.
“I’ve had a lot of opinions and hate about how I look and I’m used to it and I really don’t care [trails off].’
The Sydney resident shared the interview on Instagram, writing some reflective words alongside the images.

“Drag queens and non-binary people have played the biggest part in making me feel comfortable dressing and expressing myself the way I want and I’m so grateful for that.
“If I can be the visibility I didn’t have for a young queer out there, that makes me happy.”
It comes after Vidgen lashed out at cruel comments he received from trolls after embracing his feminine side in recent public appearances.

Jack has been dragging his way up as his alter ego Jacqueline Vagine, as well as opting for makeup and glamorous looks while dressing up as himself at various red carpet events lately.
And while many have praised his style, Jack stands out with hurtful comments he’s received from cruel trolls telling him he needed “psychological help.”
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has encouraged me as I’ve been beaming lately and discovering my feminine side,” he wrote in a sincere Instagram post.
For anyone wondering, I still identify as him/her. I’m literally just having fun. We as a society have gendered fashion and the more I dress like this, the more I expose myself and free myself from my own internalized homophobia as a gay man.”
The singer added that he gets a lot of comments – especially on TikTok – with people ‘mentioning’ himterrible things or just not understanding it’.
“I’ve become almost completely desensitized to it, but I think of all the young gay people who see it and it saddens me,” he explained.
