Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed reveals plans to marry girlfriend Ellie Sargeant – 15 years after his marriage to the late star
Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed has revealed he is remarrying girlfriend Ellie Sargeant, 15 years after the death of his first wife.
Jack, 36, tied the knot in a very emotional wedding ceremony with Jade – who was 27 at the time – a month before she died from cervical cancer in March 2009.
But the TV star is ready to embrace a new chapter as he confirmed his intention to tie the knot with his partner Ellie, 29.
Speak with The mirror, Jack said, ‘This is love again. I never thought I would find it. But fifteen years after Jade’s death, I feel like I have found love again. I took my time, I couldn’t rush.”
He added: “I will always love Jade. That will never change. She was my first love. We shared so many happy and heartbreaking memories – especially over the past few months.

“But I know she wants me to be happy, she told me that. I finally feel like I can move on. It was about finding the right moment.”
Jack – who is now an electrician – has not shied away from admitting that marriage is ‘absolutely’ something on his mind, alongside having children.
He confessed that he hadn’t felt ‘right’ about the wedding since Jade died because it was such a ‘heartbreak’ for both him and the public – admitting that time has ‘healed a lot’.
The former TV star met Ellie through mutual friends in Essex in 2022, and the couple made their relationship public in September of the same year.
Jack rose to fame in 2007 when he took part in Celebrity Big Brother with Jade, but following her death two years later he suffered severe depression and turned to alcohol.
But things have certainly changed for Jack, who admitted that Ellie knew it was going to be difficult being in a relationship with someone who used to be in the spotlight.
Now living a more modest life, he is looking forward to fatherhood and says having children “would be amazing.”
A source previously told MailOnline: ‘Jack has really fallen for Ellie. They already share a close bond and are completely in love with each other.

“It’s still early, but the friends believe they have a good chance of a future together.”
Jack split from ex-girlfriend Alee Jeffreys – who he met on social media – in 2021.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star said the relationship was his “most serious” since Jade’s death in 2009.
He previously admitted he found relationships difficult because he was ‘always comparing’ girlfriends to Jade.
He also had some kind words for his stepsons Bobby, 20, and Freddie, 19, as he spoke about their success under the spotlight, saying they reminded him a lot of Jade.

Earlier last month, Jack urged Bobby and Freddie not to appear on Celebrity Big Brother after revealing how their lives fell apart following their own appearance in 2007.
ITV producers are hoping to capitalize on the success of last year’s series by reviving the famous spin-off – six years after it aired on Channel 5.
He said: ‘My advice would be to stay clear. It is not worth it. Me and Jade didn’t have a great experience. It ended in disaster.
“I didn’t feel comfortable with that experience at all. You feel very exposed. It’s constant. It feels enclosed. We met some nice people, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
‘It caused a lot of problems. If they asked me what I think I did with it myself, I would say avoid it.
‘It was constant boredom. I woke up and took a shower and then wondered what to do next. It was soul destroying at times. It was heavy.’
Jack said both of Jade’s sons are ‘flying’ and appearing on the show wouldn’t be worth the ‘risk’.

He added: “Jade would be so proud of them both. I know I am. That show caused big problems. It was a total nightmare.
“They’re both doing great, but it wouldn’t be worth the risk.” I’m sure this is also the official advice they will receive.
“These reality shows sound great for young and upcoming people, but they also have negative sides. It’s not all they’re cracked up to be.”
