Jack Nicholson’s daughter Lorraine, 34, pictured with Tinseltown icon, 87, in rare sighting

Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson was spotted with his daughter Lorraine Nicholson in an image she posted to Instagram on Thursday.

Lorraine, 34, was seen hugging the three-time Academy Award winner, 87, in a room in a house, with shelves packed with picture frames, books and trophies in the background.

Lorraine, whose mother is actress-model Rebecca Broussard, 61, wore a black long-sleeved sweater as she hugged her famous dad.

Jack, whose signature appearances include films such as The Shining, Chinatown, Batman and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, wore a navy top with vertical stripes.

The image was part of a carousel of photos that Lorraine posted to more than 31,700 followers as she documented her holiday events, captioned “The Giving Season.”

Lorraine has her own career in Hollywood, as she is best known for playing Alana Blanchard in Bethany Hamilton’s 2011 biographical film Soul Surfer.

Lorraine attended the 2024 LACMA Art+Film Gala at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on November 2.

The actress oozed glamor in a red ensemble with her golden blonde locks worn down.

Her radiant makeup was complete with a touch of bright red lipstick to match her manicure, and a touch of blush for a healthy, radiant glow.

The former Miss Golden Globe, who graduated from Brown University in 2012, smiled brightly for photos shared to Instagram.

Lorraine has a younger brother called Ray Nicholson, 32, who is also the son of Jack and Rebecca.

Jack also shares four other children from his previous relationships. They include Jennifer, 61, with Sandra Knight, Caleb, 54, with Susan Anspach, Honey Hollman, 43, with Winnie Hollman and Tessa Gourin, 30, with Jennine Gourin.

In 2017, the Los Angeles native wrote, produced and directed a 15-minute coming-of-age drama titled The Instant Message, the year after he played an expert hacker in the film Anonymous.

She has also directed and written another short film entitled This Magic Moment. Her third short film, Life Boat, premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.

‘I love acting and I also hope to one day write, direct and create my own projects. “I think in the film industry, especially as a woman, it’s very important to make your own luck – and create projects to give other people, just like yourself, really strong opportunities,” she said in a 2011 interview with Zimbio.

As for her famous father’s advice about living a life in the spotlight, she said her father “always told” her to “never try to be famous for no reason.”

“It’s not something I’m shying away from, but I hope people are more interested in my work as an actress or writer than in who I’m dating or my social life,” Lorraine noted.

Tessa, who is estranged from her father, opened up about feeling like an “orphan Annie” growing up in New York City with a rich and powerful father she wasn’t allowed to talk about.

The 30-year-old actress was raised by her mother, former real estate agent Jennine Gourin, who was a young waitress when she allegedly had an affair with Nicholson and became pregnant in 1994.

Nicholson never publicly acknowledged Gourin as his daughter. She has opened up about how she wishes she could be called a “fake baby” after years of being labeled his “illegitimate” child.

“From a young age, my mother told me not to tell anyone that I have a famous father,” she said The everyday beast. “I knew he was powerful and Daddy Warbucks-level rich, so I kind of equated my life with Orphan Annie’s.”

Gourin, who grew up loving the musical “Annie,” hence her comparison to the main character, developed a passion for performing at an early age, but her mother would not let her be a child actor.

She grew up on the Upper East Side in a two-bedroom apartment with her mother and half-brother. She remembered spending a few hours or days here and there with Nicholson, but she never really got to know him.

She admitted that no one has ever given her a “concrete answer” as to why he was no longer in her life.

“My mother wanted me to have a relationship with him, but he said he wasn’t interested,” she said.

Nicholson financed her private school education, but she explained that she did not take full advantage of it because her “home life wasn’t great” and she was “acting out.”

Gourin performed in high school plays, although she later retreated from acting. In her early twenties, she worried about how people would react if she followed in her famous father’s footsteps without his blessing.

“I was afraid people would think I was tacky or that I was riding off his coattails,” she said. “But this person doesn’t want me in his life, so how would you use that to your advantage?”
