Jack Grealish is expected to be unavailable for three weeks after suffering a groin injury during Manchester City’s midweek Champions League win over Copenhagen.
The 28-year-old limped off during the first half at Parken Stadium despite doing his best to stay on the pitch before eventually admitting he could not continue.
It was understood the England international was suffering from a muscle injury and a two to three week window was given for his recovery, as reported by The Telegraph.
Under that timeline, Grealish would be available just in time for England’s next international friendlies against Brazil and Beligum, starting on March 23.
Grealish pounded the grass with his fists during City’s European victory. He tried to continue playing after first noticing the problem and had to be withdrawn 90 seconds later.

City boss Pep Guardiola spoke words of comfort in the dugout as a distraught Grealish walked through the tunnel to receive treatment.
The timeline attached to his rehabilitation will be welcome news for City supporters and the player himself, who has struggled to match last season’s performances.
There were initial fears that the former winger would be unavailable for a much longer period, with City still competing in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Copenhagen was the first time in more than a month that Grealish was picked by Guardiola to start.
Jeremy Doku’s summer arrival has largely forced him out of his starting role and frustration has increased after Grealish played for City in their Treble-winning campaign last season.
There are also questions over his place in England’s upcoming European champions squad as Gareth Southgate prepares to name his tournament squad.
Grealish has been a key figure in the Three Lions camp for the past two major tournaments and is expected to return to action but may have to settle for an impact sub spot.
