Jack Grealish is ‘STILL on edge after £1m raid on his £5.6m home eight months ago’ – as Man City star ‘worries thieves will never be caught’ with Police still yet to make an arrest

Jack Grealish fears the burglars who attacked his Cheshire home will never be caught, a source has said.

In December, the Manchester City star’s £5.6million mansion was raided by thieves, who stole his belongings, worth an estimated £1million worth of jewellery and watches, while he was on a playing holiday with Everton.

His long-term partner Sasha Attwood was at home with 10 family members when the burglary occurred and quickly raised the alarm at the property.

A large-scale search operation was launched with helicopters and dogs. Reports say the gang of burglars attempted to enter the mansion a month before the attack, but were scared when they saw a police car nearby.

Now a source has said the sun that Grealish is still ‘tense’ about the situation as police have still not made any arrests seven months later.

“Jack fears they will never be caught,” they said.

‘He was completely devastated by this. It had a huge impact on him and his family.

‘Seven months later, there have still been no arrests. Police say they are still investigating, but there are real fears they may have fled the country.

‘Jack is afraid that they will never get caught and that they will do it again.’

Grealish was informed of the raid by City’s head of player support and protocol Manel Estiarte after the final whistle of City’s 3-1 win at Goodison Park on Boxing Day.

Concern was evident on the player’s face as he ran through the tunnel to the locker room.

Speaking about the matter for the first time after the match, City manager Guardiola said: ‘The family was there, it is what it is, the modern era, where a lot happens.

‘It was a bad moment for him and his family, but luckily the family was not injured. [harmed].

According to the Sun, his Cheshire home is in an affluent area that has been targeted by a number of professional burglary gangs from Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Chile.

Grealish is not the only Premier League player to have been targeted by raids, with Joelinton, Victor Lindelof and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also having suffered similar problems in recent years.

“I can’t even explain how devastated I am by the burglary that took place at my home,” Grealish wrote on Instagram after the incident.

‘My family means everything to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety.

“This was a traumatic experience for all of us. I am so thankful that no one was hurt.”
