Back to work after Man City’s four-day bow: Jack Grealish grins through his ‘world of pain’ hangover as the five England Treble winners train with Gareth Southgate’s side
- City’s Champions League heroes are photographed in St. George’s Park
- Manchester City’s Treble-winning stars will be relaxed in England training
Manchester City’s Champions League heroes have been pictured together in St. George’s Park after joining the England squad ahead of their European Championship qualifiers.
Phil Foden, John Stones, Kalvin Phillips, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish posed for a photo at the England training base on Wednesday morning.
The five players – who were dressed head-to-toe in England’s kit – appeared to be in good spirits after securing the treble with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Grealish even smiled, despite admitting to being in a ‘world of pain’ after celebrating Manchester City’s achievements.
However, the Treble-winning stars will be relaxed after the Champions League final for training and rest ahead of England’s Euro 2024 qualifier in Malta.

England’s St George’s Park camp ended Grealish’s four-day celebrations after he helped City win the treble by beating Inter Milan in the Champions League
England’s St George’s Park camp ended Grealish’s four-day celebrations after helping City win the treble by beating Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Grealish was responsible for kicking off the festivities in Istanbul by leading the dressing room chants following their 1-0 win over the Serie A side.
The England international then left the stadium with a Heineken in hand, accompanied by a speaker blaring Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’.
The 27-year-old, who stayed out until dawn on two consecutive nights, emerged on Sunday morning, still in his City kit, wondering if he was asleep.
The party continued on the plane back, with Grealish even using the plane’s intercom, much to the amusement of his teammates.
Grealish was even seen limping out of the plane and walking across the tarmac as he made his way to the terminal building ahead of City’s open-top tour of Manchester.
Grealish was again at the heart of City’s victory parade. He was seen drinking drinks, signing and waving to the crowd.
As a result, Southgate has decided to rest the City quintet ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifier in Malta and focus on preparing for Monday’s game against North Macedonia.
However, the City stars are expected to travel to Malta with the rest of the squad for Friday’s meeting, but are not expected to start or even get on the bench.
